The answers are:
WALKTHROUGHHATCHBACK
GAULT THROWBACK
Me too! Had to look up GAULT meaning though!
There used to be a gritty industrial town here in Ontario named Gault whose economic prospects were dim. Municipal leaders decided the problem was the name, as both its sound and its meaning were unappealing. So now we have a gritty industrial town named Cambridge whose economic prospects are dim.
😆
Gault Throwback
Same here!
Same here.
Congrats on pairing THROWBACK! I found Throwback early but didn’t have the tenacity to get GAULT.
Had to slug it out with BACKROW WALKTHROUGH instead…
Same here, Franzee.
When the movie is finished, and the lights come up.
Same here. Got THROWBACK almost immediately, and saw that GLUT couldn’t work, so, without GU(i)LT, I took a stab at GAULT. A new word for me!
Willie GAULT from the 1980’s Bears. Definitely a THROWBACK! Happy to be done very quickly after the fruitless search yesterday for a solution. Still muttering to myself about Plinth.
He was QUICK!!! 🙂
Same here. Far more efficient than OA.
Yup!
Same!
WROUGHT-TALKBACK
Me too
Same.
WROUGHT-TALKBACK
“Mr. Watson, come here; I want to see you”
Same
Me too. A quick one, after several days struggling.
Same as Nick
Ditto. Solved in a minute after seeing that CLAWBACK left an awkward transition. Changed it to TALKBACK and it was game over. After the past 3 days, I was beginning to think that I had lost my touch.
Same…
[ Wrought – Talkback ]
Found these first…
Cougar, Throwback, Thought, Caught, Blowback, Laugh, Backtrack
There has to be a connection with Throwback?
Exact same except cougar
Yep
WROUGHT / TALKBACK here, too.
Me too. OA seems overly long. 🤔

WALKTHROUGH HOGBACK
😎🐝🇺🇸
Told ya’ them Razorbacks will love ❤️ today’s puzzle!
WALKTHROUGH – HOGBACK too.
Seemed like an inefficient way to get the BC until I saw the OA.
BLACKWORT — THOROUGH
I never knew that there were so many varieties of WORT until I started playing this game.
blackwort/thug over here
good board today
Same! So excited to get an answer with perfect efficiency.
blackwort – thug as well
BLACKWORT-TOUGH for me. Apparently it’s a variety of comfrey.
Same! Found OA thinking surely way too many reuse of letters to be OA….played with compound words using TALK (BACKTALK), WALK (WALKTHROUGH), WART (WARTHOG), WORK (WORKTHROUGH) , WORT (didn’t come up with anything), WATCH and got very hung up on WALKTHROUGH to finally get to HATCHBACK. Really wanted ALTHOUGH, BROUGHT, or KOWTOW to work!
walkthrough-hogback
Final look before closing on a hilly property.
WALKTHROUGH – HOGBACK
BACKROW WALKTHROUGH.
Walkthrough was a breakthrough, or so I thought. took a while to find BACKROW, just to knock out B and C. ALIOW and probably no less efficient than OA.
Tiptoe through the two lips?
Same. BACKROW – WALKTHROUGH.
Wrought Talkback
Same. Surprised it wasn’t OA.
BLACKWORT-THUG
Wrought – Talkback
Wrought talkback…..bratty grandkids
Am I the only one with the OA so far?
Same.
I really wanted to use WARTHOG or BACKLOT or BACKLOG or LAWCOURT (all unique letters). Found WALKTHROUGH as well, but ended like many others with WROUGHT-TALKBACK (15/2)
OA. Looking through cars at the dealership
