  1. OA. That was strange. Spent ages on BLOWFISH and SAILBOATS. Didn’t honestly believe WHATABOUTISM would be an allowed word given how many more obvious words are not.

    1. Sorry but I’m new. Isn’t the goal to use all the letters but the fewest number of times? So ideally, one word never repeating a letter, or two words repeating only the one joining letter etc. wouldn’t BLOWFISH HAUT TOM is 15 letters. Does it beat 2 words using more than 15 letters or no?

    1. Same process through Blowfish etc to EVENTUALLY find Flow Whataboutism and Whataboutism Mouthful, both aptly describing Faux News and its ilk. I don’t believe there’s a solution without Whataboutism, a very new word. OTOH, it’s a good one. So a toss-up.

  2. i know we all agree that this was difficult, but have you considered how hard the connections has become? Or how the wordle is now using partials of words as acceptable answers?
They’re halving the words. They’re coming to this country and cutting the words in half and using them for answers.

    1. I have to agree. BEAUT is unacceptable….and Whataboutism is ridiculous, especially when perfectly OED words are not accepted.

Don’t get me started on Yiddish 😠

    2. Clayton, I’ve noticed that trend as well. Especially with Connections where the associations have become more and more obscure and dubious.

    1. I agree. I would have never found this solution, either. Moving onto other activities for today. Tomorrow, I will look at a new puzzle and try again to find a two-word solution.

  3. WHATABOUTISM — MOUTHFUL A lot like the debates! 🙂

Also found ABSOLUTISM but couldn’t pair it. LB does accept the plural of ISM words for whatever reason.

  4. Spent some time first on BASHFUL and WISHFUL thinking the answer would definitely be something ~FUL. Then found OA, but only after being disappointed that WHATABOUTISM – MILF wasn’t accepted (half expected it to be the OA…)

  5. Omg, I meant to try WHATABOUTISM but forgot, got sidetracked, settled for 3w BASHFUL LIMIT TOW (also had a made up non-word for 2w Wishful “Lobotoma”). Oy… had FLOW in a 4w too.

  6. Never in a million years would I have got WHATABOUTISM. I think I possibly have seen that word maybe once in my life. Glad I gave up when I did. Unfortunately I still spent a long time on this today.

I found BLOWFISH, AUTOMOBILISM, AUTOMATISM/S, FISHTAIL/S, WOLFISH, BLOWOUT, FAMILISM, SHUTOUT, MOUTHFULS, BASHFUL and more.

Ended up with BLOWFISH HUT TAM.
