Missed a lot of obvious solves, but did get MYTHIC CARAVANED. CARAVANED is unanimously accepted by all the sources on the word-check site I usually go to.

          1. Maybe it’s not accepted in LB because of how “vanned” is never spelled with one N but always two and how the prevalent spelling is “caravanned,” not “caravaned” as “caravaned” would make the A long, like “vaned,” as in having vanes, not “vanned,” as in transported by van. Just a thought.

  2. Another charmed divinity here. I’ve noticed I rarely get the OA and usually fail if it’s a single solution. Not on the puzzlers wavelength….now byrdle, a different kettle of fish, he’s like my alter ego.

  3. ACHIEVEMENT-TARDY
I knew it wouldn’t be OA because it’s too long; however, I took it because I did not want to be late posting my answer 😉

    1. Another ACHIEVEMENT – TARDY here after finally bailing on MATHEMATIC, MYTHIC, CHIMNEY and VITAMIN. Phew – still have half a cup of coffee left! Satisfying win today.

    2. Also Achievement -Tardy
right after finding Archive and trying non word “Archivement”.

Other cool words: Caveman, Iceman, Enticement, Enriched

      Medicineman, Medicare not accepted 😂

      Also was close with…
      Mythic – Craven (no D)
      Mythic – Craved (no N)

  4. My first attempt was HYDRA ANTIMEDICATIVE but while MEDICATIVE is a word only ANTIMEDICATION seems to be in any dictionaries.

I then wrestled with VAC CHARADE ENMITY.

Couldn’t match RAVINEMENT but it quickly led to ACHIEVEMENT TARDY.

    Phew.

      1. Some tries cinematic cinematic ity anticavity nativity menhaden medicament heavy inactivity enactment enanthema Marcy Chevy meathead cat head hardhead deadhead

        1. Didn’t see achievement or vitamin or match charmed/marched to divinity so feels like another fail day

  5. Charmed – divinity too.

I rarely get annoyed with good solves that aren’t accepted, but I was this time because
I found it straightaway: tachycardic – caveman.

Weirdly, MW doesn’t have tachycardic, though it’s pretty common, as such words go.

  6. This was actually a pretty tough one, because despite a goodly number of possible two-word solutions, the red herrings were myriad, like trying to find a needle in a haystack. So many big words could be made leaving so few letters or such highly plausible letters that actually spelled something that a solution seemed viable and one would be remiss not to spend time exploring it, like MEDICATIVE only left HRNY, ARCHIVED only left MNTY, ARCHENEMY only left DTIV, DRIVEN only left MYTHCA, MYTHEME only left VICARND, EVIDENT only left CHARMY, MYTHIC and THYMIC only left RAVEND (like CRAVENED, CAVERNED, etc., there seemed like there might be something that would work there).

Anyway, it ended up taking me about 45 minutes of running down dead end after dead end to finally get to ACHIEVEMENT-TARDY. So, yeah, I liked this puzzle. But I also like puzzles like yesterday’s where the possibilities are few and the solution that arises is clear and satisfying.
