        Hey, Mr.RAMANATHAN,

        Double thumbs up! 👍👍

        You got it! COPYCAT, indeed! Yay!!! 🎉🥳
        ☢️🌹

    1. Could do:
      DIEWALKURE ECOM
      but in reality Die Walkure is two German words with some special characters and I don’t know about ECOM.

      I tried to work with ARMORCLAD but the MO sequence stops it.

        1. I do think now that the second word, just the second word, sounds like a not too hot country singer 🎤
          or a not too hot actor

          1. Or – for the second word – sounds like a very famous physician author in the late spring or maybe early fall but not in the middle of the summer. 😎

        Hey, MARKIE,

        🎉🥳WOW!!! You got the OA! YAY!!!🎉🥳

        Double thumbs up! 👍👍

    2. I came up with CORDIAL — LEUKEMIA but it’s missing the W (and I am glad since it is a terrible oxymoron). I also got WORLDWAR , WARMAKER, CARMAKER, CRAWLER, WARLIKE, and CRACKER.

      Your clue is interesting with the parentheses.

      I will work on it later if I can.

    1. Bernie Horowitz

      OA for me too: Hyperactive Elm (maybe in Middle-earth or Oz, but not here). Also Pelvic Champerty (reproductive rights lawfare) and Hyperthermic Cavil (It’s too hot! Or is it just me?)

  1. CHAP — PRIMITIVELY

    HYPERACTIVELY — YAM

    Played around with TEACHERLY, ARCHETYPE, and PRIMAVERA.

    It seems like there are lots of nice words today!

    1. Hi Bill!
      I found ARCHETYPE, leaving only ILMV and thought I had it made but LB wouldn’t accept MILVA or VILMA or MAVILIA to be my starter because they are just names. I did find out Milva is a famous Italian singer-actress who died a few years ago.

      Early on i found PRIVACY and i made
      PRIVACY YETI IMPEL LEAH
      but LB didn’t like Leah.
      I always thought she’s equally nice as Rachel.

      Anyway that impelled me on to:
      IMPEL LEVER REACH HEARTY
      😎

      1. ARCHETYPE does leave PRIMITIVELY but it can’t connect, so I ditched ARCHETYPE for CHAP, and it worked. There seem to be lots of cool words today (I also found CHARTERPARTY, but couldn’t do much with it).

    1. me too! Figured this wasn’t the OA, so went back for more and soon found it, too. That HYPER- prefix was just too tempting.

      PREVAILER starts off making a star shape that’s pretty close to symmetrical. Was fun to watch it unfold, as I wait for the caffeine to kick in . . .

  2. An LB very short story.
    Only one word is OED-only.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The CHAMP—, —PRIMITIVELY a MARCHER—,
    —REPETITIVELY seeks the MYTH—HYPERACTIVELY.
    He’s the PREVAILER— on —RHYTHMICITY,
    the IMPEACHER°—, sometimes —REACTIVELY,
    always IMPACTIVE—, on the —EARTHLY,
    TETRACYCLIC—CHAMPLEVÉ.
    The End.
    🙂
  3. May have missed it but did not see
    MYTH HYPERACTIVELY. found as i was trying hard to get a LOTR MYTHRIL match
      1. Sigh. I always try to get it in 4. But ive tried for an hour and im stumped. If you can show me a 4-word answer Ill be impressed.
        1. Sure ok. When home I’ll run my Quad routine, since it’s on my desktop.
          Quads are a heavy lift, computationally speaking, but I can throttle it; for example by constraining it to only find 15/4s.
          1. Good ones Oscar!
            Here’s a few more I found:
            CRAM—MYTH—HYPE—EVIL
            CRIM—MYTH—HELP—PAVE
            ITCH—HARP—PAVE—ELMY
            TYPE—EVIL—LIMA—ARCH
            I think all tested OK.
  4. I was on the verge of giving up when I spotted RHYTHMIC and I was quickly able to pair it with PREVAILER which I had found earlier. So:
    PREVAILER-RHYTHMIC
  5. I forgot to post yesterday’s full solution. I just posted it in the June 12 area. There were 334 official solutions. Plus lots of scrabble word solutions.
  6. Here is the full list including Scrabble words:
