JOUNCEEPIGRAPH
OA, but I hope there’s an answer less obscure than JOUNCE.
Really wanted to make Juniper work, but hey ho.
Same!! Got EPIGRAPH – did not see JOUNCE!! No time to spare so landed on JUNIPER – RECOINAGE – EPOGRAPH!!
* EPIGRAPH
OA, and I suspect it’s a one-off
I guess not…but Necrophage was a new one for me
Is jounce obscure? It’s definitely part of my vocabulary. But I write fiction, and those kinds of verbs are our bread and butter.
JOUNCE / EPIGRAPH
Oh yeah! I say JOUNCE all the time. If I’m not saying LIKE…
JOUNCE-EPIGRAPH
UNJOIN-NECROPHAGE
JUN-NECROPHAGIA*
*NECROPHAGIA good in Merriam-Webster, Collins, Wiktionary
Unjoin Necrophage
I have work to do so already abandoned. But when I see a J I always think Juniper? So Juniper Roughage Eco. Done! I’d never get Jounce….I look forward to checking if juniper is in fact useful (apart from gin)
Absolutely! that’s my solution too.
OA
OA.
A stirring opening quotation.
UNJOIN – NECROPHAGE
Leaves a bad taste.
Another UNJOIN-NECROPHAGE here. Had to look up words ending in PHAGE but then quickly found UNJOIN and was surprised it wasn’t the OA. Probably wouldn’t have come up with the OA for a few hours LOL. Had JUNIPER but couldn’t pair it… On with the hot and humid day!
Very quick OA today.
jounce – epigraph
OA after a lot of hard work and kvetching about JAE CH ONJ sides.
JOUNCE – EPIGRAPH
spring foreword
Clever, JAF!
I had EPIGRAPH, saw OUNCE, and for fun added the ‘J’. Voila!
New word which I can now use as I jounce along with my day after too much ☕️☕️
Thanks, Gaye! Enjoy your java jounce!
OA but I spent more time than I care to admit.
Same and jounce was a guess
OA quickly for once
OA. Was beginning to think the day a bust because it took too long to see graph. Then, epigraph first try and there was jounce.
Jounce epigrapher
OA finally after toying too long with JUNIPER and ROUGHAGE but no C. Kept thinking there must be an R word ending in GRAPH containing a C, but none that worked here.
UNJOIN — NECROPHAGE
Found NECROPHAGE and worked back to JOIN and then tried UNJOIN (which is sort of a lame term and I was surprised that LB accepted it!). I couldn’t do much with JUNIPER, PARAGRAPH, or ROUGHEN.
LB won’t accept NECROPHAGIA, so my protest solve is JUN — NECROPHAGIA 🙂
OA but it took long coming up with JOUNCE
OA here too, after thinking JUNIPER or ROUGHAGE would work. Like others, tried JOUNCE after hitting on EPIGRAPH, and it turned out to be a legit word.
Totally lost today. If ever I heard JOUNCE before, it was avery long time in the past. Even did a Word Finder search for any word beginning with JO and still missed it. I have a friendly daily competition with another user who will not accept a solution with more than two words so I gave up even on any solution exceeding two words.
