OA as well but it took a while.
Paindrop Potluck describes this game. Write the grid a sheet of paper, put in the rain 🙂
OA and it took forever. So many words that I couldn’t pair, like INDOCTRINATION. So happy to finally be done with it.
raindrop potluck…
Not filling, but certainly refreshing.
When a bit of sunny disposition can produce a prism of promise that all are welcome.
RAINDROP – POTLUCK
Are we in for another bread and water diet today?
I first tried DIRTNAP-POTLUCK. The dangers of eating potato salad at a church social. But alas, DIRTNAP was not accepted. So I went with the OA.
It has to be POTLUCK (or KIDNAP). I just can’t see RAINDROP. I got closer with my gibberish DRAINUP. I’m just slightly frustrated because I didn’t try harder.
Closest I got was CRACKPOT which defines me for trying so hard 🤯
CRACKPOT was accepted, but CROCKPOT wasn’t. Go figure.
I went with both…POTLUCK-KIDNAP and refused to use the R today.
One-offs three days in a row. This is getting boring.
OA relatively quickly after going down the INDOCTRINATION path which failed…. Guess my brain is still free to roam 🙂
RAINDROP — POTLUCK
Second day in a row where I went down the ATION rabbit hole. I found INDOCTRINATION, INCORPORATION, CONTINUATION, ORDINATION, CORONATION, INCLINATION, and ADAPTATION.
It wasn’t until I saw that the remaining letters were often PKLU so I decided to look for words that used them and that’s when I found POTLUCK. RAINDROP came quickly after that. 🙂
Apparently another one-off OA with Raindrop Potluck. We had to move the party indoors. After these last few, I anticipate a super-productive array tomorrow. There seems to be no middle ground with LB.
OA. I had the same TI. And the same thoughts about upcoming arrays
Resigned myself to a 3 solve:
DOP-PLIANT-TRUCK (14/3)
Incidentally, it uses one less letter than the OA (15/2)
Nevermind that I haven’t clue was (a) DOP is 🙂
Same. INCULCATION-NAPKIN-NADIR! The two compound words (in the OA) made it frustrating with all the 2-word possibilities that didn’t line up! C
Alack, I had RAINDROP PLUCK then got sidetracked with CRACKPOT and TRACKPAD.
Wanted UN(S)POILT TRACKPAD (if only)
could only come up with UNLIT TRACKPAD DON
Couldn’t get off of kidnap potluck. Stupid R
Radiant , top ,pluck will do
While there may have been only one two-word solution, at least there were some good birds!
🐦 AKIKIKI, ANI, ANIANIAU, ARACARI, AUK, CARACARA, CONDOR, COUA, DIUCON, DORADITO, INCA, IORA, KAKA, KAKAPO, KIKAU, KOKAKO, PAROTIA, PRINIA, PRION, RAIL, TIT, TOCO TOUCAN 🐦🐦 COCKATOO, COOT, CUCKOO, NUKUPUU, PARROT, POTOO, ROOK
Here I will mention the Tookie-Tookie Bird and its signature song, “Ah-Ah-Ee-Ee-Tookie-Tookie!” You can learn a lot from George of the Jungle.
raindrop – potluck
…but took awhile
As a linguist, they are definitely messing with the boundaries of the english language. While a raindrop is indeed a word its use in the singular is extremely rare. But i suppose thats the fun right?
eventually found…
raindrop potluck
