      1. Stoker-Reverifying here. Not sure If it’s just been a busy few weeks at work and having less time, or that the puzzles have been harder. But this was only the 4th of this months 12 puzzles I’ve solved. Hopefully this starts a good streak.

    1. Well done, RF!

STOKER-REVERIFYING almost immediately here as well, my lovely. Started with VERIFYING, then thought, hmm, REVERIFYING would give me some leeway at both ends. Saw STOKER almost straightaway (wanted to play with STORK!).

High five, great minds, Kanishk, I hope you’re having a wonderful birthday weekend, kiddo – hope to see you soon!

Good luck, all, and happy Sunday!

  1. Catherine Gardiner

    Fykes & Sovereignty
I saw Sovereignty quite quickly and then had the arduous task of finding a partner word. I did so by experimenting with the remaining letters. The result was Fykes, a word with which I was totally unfamiliar.

  2. Stoker/stroker reverifying Also tried sovereign but when Ty wouldn’t work , didn’t think to try ies fykes would have been some kind of guess

      1. Hi Catherine, yes a fun new word! Don’t know if I’ll ever use a fish net trap like that but I’ll remember it. Might drop it in conversation sometime for fun.

          1. Yes that would be funny, but not as far fetched as you’d think. When I was growing up we had several small ponds, mostly for the cattle, but one we kept stocked with catfish. We usually fished it with poles and earthworms but every few years we’d seine it and have a big fish fry for the extended family. I could see myself telling the kids “back in the day…..”
