      1. OA too.
        I’ve always thought the word “rhubarb” was funny in its own right. KILOMETER – RHUBARB just takes it that extra mile.

      1. Nice…I had so many words with -ABLE and -LIKE (MOUTHABLE, BROTHERLIKE) and EUREKA. No go on an OA today :((

    1. TAKEOUT
      THERMOLABILE

      (I don’t know how this site allows one to make an original post, so I am forced to reply under someone else’s.)

  1. AUKLET—THROMBI
    KILOMETER—RHUBARB
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    THIMBLEMAKER°⁻ ⇄ ROUT
    ROUT ⇆ THIMBLEMAKER°⁻
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ° OED, ⁻ hyphenated

  2. Samuel Hanwich

    LB wouldn’t take MOUTHLIKE (with BARM in front), which is accepted in all the sources I looked at, but would accept MOTHERLIKE, which isn’t. I’m taking it as a win.

  3. Got barm mouth like fast, LB didn’t take , so spent much time looking for OA, never did find . Thought I had it with automaker rehabilitate. Did enjoy the hunt though.

    1. Found thimblemaker(mw) which works with out, lout, or tout or can finish with route,rouble,routable or retour

      1. Some of todays good words:barbiturate biothermal heliothermal motorbikes emirate mouthable maritime halibut literature hauteur rebukable rotatable autorotate helot naturalness habitual time-out takeout ameliorable habitue relatable

        1. On opposite sides of the table I found the Mouther and the Rebuker. They had a real Rhubarb going. The Arbiter and the Broker had their hands full, alternately acting Motherlike and Brotherlike. And, Mirabile dictu, some progress was made. Everyone agreed that Mirabile wasn’t a word in English, so all sides agreed to blame LB for accepting it,

  4. Only BARM–MOUTHLIKE for me.
    Noticed that today’s box accepted MITHRIL. It did not accept LOTHARIO.

    A couple of days ago, PANDORA was accepted, but not PENDRAGON (which I suppose I can understand). Since I’m sharing anyway, CHARLIE was accepted in one of last week’s puzzles.
    Just in case anyone else is keeping track of these little quirks.

  5. I did it in fewer letters than the listed answer today. Auklet Thrombi. The minimum for two words. 13 letters.

  6. OA today, after a while. Nobody seems to have mentioned MOTHLIKE yet, which was accepted but I couldn’t pair it.
