OKRAADJECTIVAL

OKRA—ADJECTIVAL
KORA—ADJECTIVAL
ADJECTIVE—EARLOCK
KORA – ADJECTIVAL
ADJECTIVAL is an ADJECTIVE.
And an adjective is adjectival.
😉
😁
Same:
Okra – Adjectival
Kora – Adjectival
Went nowhere:
Lovelock, Carjack,
Elective – Earlock (no L)
ADJECTIVE – EARLOCK
ADJECTIVE – EARLOCK after toying around with JOVIAL, CARJACK, CAJOLE, EJECTIVE, AIRLOCK etc. ERD on the same side was extremely annoying today!
I just realised that this is a recycled OA- the same words were used on March 25, 2024
@KANISHK
I checked, it is indeed a recycled OA. I’m the first one to comment on that day with ADJECTIVE – EARLOCK. Today, EARLOCK eluded me no matter how I tried hard to connect with the E. I switched to connect with the A which I successfully got an unsatisfactory answer: KORA – ADJECTIVAL.
OA today.
OA after another struggle. Add Dialectical, Diacritical, and Electrical to the list of promising words that led nowhere. 6/6.
Same, ADJECTIVE EARLOCK
Wasn’t it just?! I was looking for ADJECTIVAL LOCKER and was so irimtated. But am kicking myself for dismissing the ‘A’ ending and not working it, because OKRA was far more efficient…my only excuse is that I hate bhindi!
After getting Wordle in 2 and another Genius in Spelling Bee, I had high hopes when I saw “Electric” and “Carjack” and “Adjective” but I really bogged down. After a bunch of tries, all with one leftover letter, I put it down for a while. I was convinced that “Adjective” or “Adjectival” had to be key so I kept tinkering. I finally punched in “Earlock” and I was pleasantly suprised because I never heard of the word. I’ll take the “W” but credit pure luck for winning the day.
Adjective— Earlock
Adjective – Earlock | surprised to find earlock is valid!
Me too. 🙂
At first I thought it was a medical term, like a blocked ear from some pressure condition. LB continues to teach me new words. I’d guess women might know it more intuitively.
Not really. Most well-known as the English for ‘payot’ or the earlocks/sidelocks worn by some Jewish men and boys.
Thanks for that insight Irim. I do recall seeing that now.
☕☕
ADJECTIVE EARLOCK
KORA ADJECTIVAL
Spent too long on Electricalish words but that led to Adjective so not complaining.
Adjective – Earlock
ADJECTIVE – EARLOCK
I thought for sure CROCODILE was going to get me somewhere… alas.
Okra – Adjectival
mumbo gumbo
Okra Adjectival
