          1. PACIFIC-COMPETITIVELY. Not terribly efficient considering that competitively knocks out everything but the F and the A. But, done before the end of the commute so that’s always a bonus. 55/57, 26/26, 29

  1. MALEFIC – COMPETITIVELY. A very inefficient solution but it worked. Got COMPETITIVELY with the F and A remaining but couldn’t connect them. Then remembered MALEFIC from an OA some days back.

I also tried pairing VELOCITY, AMPLIFY, TAPIOCA, LIFECYCLE, FACETIME, PLAYTIME, ACTIVITY and COMPLETELY to no avail.

      1. Ditto! Wasn’t sure PALEFACE would be accepted, but I had COMPLETIVE first and couldn’t pair so went with EMOTIVELY and voila – PALEFACE for the win!

    1. That is FABULOUS! I love it. OLFACTIVE-EMPTY/EMPTILY here. Nice work. I was hung up on POLYATOMIC and desperately wanted to see if Sam would have allowed COVFEFE, rofl.

Well done, hon, high five! Haven’t seen RF yet, *fingers crossed*

  2. OLFACTIVE EMPTY here too, but never would have stumbled on it without looking at a word-check site. I totally get the appeal of playing word games to increase your vocabulary, and even the use of outside references to pull up unfamiliar words, no matter how obscure… But I feel like part of the purpose of even playing a game like Letter Boxed is to test your own vocabulary and see what you can pull up from memory and piecing etymological clues together to come up with an answer. It seems like a lot of that spirit of the game is getting lost with some of the recent OAs.

      1. What is your problem? Is it so difficult for you not to be insufferable all the time? We are minding our own business, and maybe you should mind yours. Why can’t you stop boasting about your Scrabble skills and bullying others at every chance you get? No one cares what you have to say.

I don’t want a repeat of last time, so I’m not going to reply to you, no matter how many insulting comments you post on this site. Cry all you want.

  3. MALEFACTIVE* ECOTYPE
    *linguistical term.
