      1. OA as well, after fiddling around with TABLETOP, OPAQUE, MANTLE, ANTELOPE and POTABLE. Noticed the -ABLE and found QUOTABLE. And I knew QUOTABLE would be part of the OA, because it was the only Q word I could find which eliminated sufficient letters.

For some reason EPONYM eluded me no matter how long I tried pairing it, I was cursing EN on the same side as EMPLOYMENT wasn’t possible. Kept coming back to it and finally, saw -NYM and got the OA. Fiendish one today.

        1. Well done, everyone! Sliding in just behind with OA after initially trying UNTAMEABLE and going ‘if that Q had been an X, I’d have had EPOXY and a perfect, efficient 2!’

Even so, OA in under 5 minutes. QUOTABLE-EPONYM

      1. Thanks for checking, Irim. I didn’t see your comment until this morning, Denver time. My program found some weird ones, not even in OED or MW. 👍

    1. Same. First time I ever took a chance with a word I’d never hear before, but it seemed as though it ought to be a word, so I gave it a try.

Got quotable in about 30 seconds early this morning. Could not find a second word so I put it away until after lunch. In about two minutes I found eponym. I do not know why or how I missed it during my first try. C’est la vie!
