        1. Hey DDO!
          similar for me,
          FREQUENTED DAIKON …
but the words i saw first were QUARANTINE(D) … i couldn’t get a pair for either of those and LB wouldn’t take REQUARANTINE or DEQUARANTINE so i figured i needed to move on to something more common …

  1. FEDORA — ANTIQUARK

Found NEUTRINO, but LB does take ANTINEUTRINO, so I wasn’t going to even try ANTIQUARK at first. When that worked, I worked backwards to FEDORA. Not many words start with K and/or end with A, with the remaining letters.

        1. *typo with superscripts.
          I meant: K⁺, K⁰, K⁻
Kaons are composed of two quarks, while protons and neutrons are composed of three.

    1. LB generally refuses proper nouns. (Though small-q quaker *is* in the OED, and it always annoys me when LB balks at it.)

      1. Thanks. Meant lower case q, just didn’t correct it.I’m thinking of starting a list of real words that LB doesn’t accept.on the other hand, that’s part of the fun of it.the harder the search, the more enjoyable the find

      2. Well, I’m impressed with you all! I had FREQUENTED right away, but couldn’t come up with a pair. I had TOKAIDO, which was great, but a proper noun.

        1. Oh Lordy, this took me all day! Another FREQUENTED DAIKON here. Thought I had something with UNDERQUOTED, KEFIR, FAKIR, UNDERFED, QUOTIDIAN, ANTIQUARIAN, FREAKOUT. Didn’t see DAQUIRI but added it to the list.

          1. Same exact process! Freakout, Kefir and Fakir are all great, too bad they couldn’t be worked into a solution.

  2. Freakout Tranqed Din…
    otherwise it’s all:
    Horseradish and Haberdasheries.
A lot of one and the tiniest of the other.

  3. Here is the full list including Scrabble words:
