      1. Same answer for me, but why does LB accept “Plexiglas?” It’s a registered trade name, capitalized in the OED. Thought that put it in the “not a word” category.

        1. Hi Julia. It has been observed here, that over time, some registered trademarks can become regular words, accepted in LB, Scrabble, and elsewhere. Other examples are Xerox and Velcro.

          1. Still, would’ve thought the ‘s’ would be doubled when the word entered common parlance.

On the other hand, ‘SHERPA’ is a curious omission.

    1. Same. Tried GRAPHITE(S) and PARAGRAPH(S) first trying to pair either with some form of FLEX and then tried PLEXIGLAS leading to an easy solve.

  1. HEXAPLA—AIRFREIGHTS
    PARALEXIA—AIRFREIGHTS
    FLAXES°—SPRIGHT° 13/2

hexapla, n. A sixfold text in parallel arrangement, as that made by Origen of the Old Testament, and that of the New published by Bagster.

paralexia, n. The substitution of a word, syllable, or letter for another in reading; an instance of this.

  2. Plexiglas Shrift – it’s the latest thing for the confessional, but what of anonymity? Also Plexiglas Shifters, working the LATE SHIFT at the plexiglas warehouse.

  3. PLEXIGLAS SHRIFT – got it really fast, after first seeing THRIFTIEST. Was sure I had the OA, ha! Also wasn’t sure if plexiglas would be ok’d or needed two s’s at the end. Glad to be done quickly today. Hadn’t yet tried -ship or pre-.
