Looked at QUOTERS but after finding UBIQUITOUS, I knew that getting rid of the Q,U, and B had to be key.
I also found BIRDHOUSE but couldn’t see a way to connect it.

I ran my Anagram Finder for fun for the first time in months. Each group of words contains the same letters in a different arrangement. I can turn on or off the double-lettered constraint. All words are from today’s array.

Good job. I cycled through all those words but never quite hooked them together.
OA after spending a long time trying to make BIRDHOUSES work.
That was me too, and i didn’t start until late (after midnight blog time)!
i tried
WETSQUIB BIRDHOUSE
but LB rejected “wetsquib”. I guess it’s actually two words and all the dictionaries seem to prefer “damp squib” instead of “wet squib”. I did find out that “Squib” is a firework … i can’t remember now if i knew that before and just forgot or if it’s actually a new word for me …
I also got distracted by SHOWBIRD which is another poor avian species that LB rejected!!! ☹️

Glad I didn’t spend more time; at first only got 4w’s but finally got two 16/3’s: BIRDSHOT TOQUE EWE and DOWERS SQUIBS SHOT. The only -ous I got was Odious in 4w Queries Subito Odious Show. I got Quit/s too but this time missed Shrew/d.
