    1. Same…
All the world’s a stage, and we are merely [LB] players.
      (But wordsmiths and hunks nonetheless).

      Surprised this wasn’t OA.

    1. Speaking of wordsmiths, I just read your Hemingway quote of yesterday, Jill, and all I can say is an inarticulate “Wow”. Evokes for me the conundrum of would one treat Hemingway for his (presumed) bipolar disorder to avoid his suicide, but thereby (perhaps) altering his talent.

      1. I wonder what Hemingway’s choice would have been. My guess is that he would have declined treatment, given his understanding and valuation of masculinity.

          1. I just discovered this app:
            https://hemingwayapp.com
Not a single sentence in the sample I entered passed scrutiny. For those who want to improve, Hemingway-style, their writing, I highly recommend it.
(The app would immediately flag ‘highly.’)

  1. OA, quickly enough to make it a pretty good bet for the OA. Talk about specialty gear…
Lots of great solutions in this array! I’ll be back to check ‘em out.

    1. A quick OA here as well, and one that speaks to me very personally. On the second day of a two-week Arctic hike five years ago, I managed to lose my gloves. You do not want to know what condition my hands were in by the end of the trip.

  2. PLACABLE–EVOKING. Don’t know why I didn’t spot CAPABLE. Anyway, RE: OA, never would have thought of covering the CK twice–let alone within a single word!

There’s also an -OLOGICAL suffix out there, but I couldn’t get much out of it (ECOLOGICAL, OENOLOGICAL).

    1. KP, good catch! I ran a script based on your observation and was surprised how many had that suffix. I did not check them for LB or PSW validity, and some are double-lettered.

PALAEOECOLOGICAL, PALEOECOLOGICAL, POGONOLOGICAL, ICONOLOGICAL, OCEANOLOGICAL, PALAEOLOGICAL, PALEOLOGICAL, ALGAEOLOGICAL, OENOLOGICAL, OVOLOGICAL, OECOLOGICAL, NOOLOGICAL, ALGOLOGICAL, ENOLOGICAL, NEOLOGICAL, APOLOGICAL, NAOLOGICAL, ECOLOGICAL, CACOLOGICAL, OOLOGICAL, OLOGICAL

  3. OA reasonably quickly. I thought it a little long to be official–guess not 🙂 I knew y’all would have some more efficient solutions.

  4. OA but not as quickly as some of you. I try harder.

Got the Spelling Bee panagram when I did the puzzle a second time on a new device later in the day. Funny what seems so challenging at 7:00 am can be so easy at 9:30 am.

    1. You’e right, fresh eyes see things differently. Not a word I would choose though Sam may argue there aren’t enough 7 letter words…
