I tried to think of a tag line for my solve but couldn’t come up with one until I saw “high infidelity” in the comments. Awesome.

Wierding gunlock
I could’ve sworn I tried the OA, but I might have used GWEDUCK instead. Oh, well, ended up with UNWRINKLING GEODIC, which is accepted in Scrabble word check and most others.
God, this one was just awful. I found EIGHT pairs of words which left out a single letter, yet was unable to solve this. Thought I had made a breakthrough with WRECKING, but to no avail. Spent the entire day on this one.
Found GRIDLOCK – KNUCKLE, LUCKIER – RECORDING, DUNGER – ROCKLIKE and RIDICULING – GECKO, all of which left out the W;
WRECKING – GOLD/GIULD, which left out the U and O respectively;
DUCKLING – GREW and WEIRD – DUCKLING; leaving out the O;
and UNLOCKING – GREW, which left out the D.
Also found CROCKING, DICKERING, RELOCKING, UNLOCKING, CORDING, GODLIKE, UNLUCKIER, CROCODILE, LICORICE, WEIRDO, ONCOLOGIC and ECOLOGIC.

I went through the same thing- kept finding what I thought were great words but each time one letter was left over so gave up and did it in 3
