Same here. I felt the absence of A was weirdly helpful in that it helped narrow down the search. Once you pin down SKELETON, it’s relatively plain sailing to get to a solution.
I wonder if a non-SKELETON based answer is even achievable.
The trick for me was to work out K, Z, and X. One word had to have at least two of those letters.
