CERTIFIABLEEPOCH
Official:
CERTIFIABLE—EPOCH
16/2
“Crazy times we live in!”
but hopefully
a RECTIFIABLE—EPOCH
yes, same both!
Official.
FIREPIT TABLECLOTH
Nice image of an autumn dinner in the garden!
Same
Was hoping charitable or halfpipe but couldn’t make them work.
FIREPOT – TABLECLOTH 17/2
FIREP[I/O]T – TABLECLOTH here as well. I like Mark’s RECTIFIABLE – EPOCH best so far. I would HOPE it is ELECTRIFIABLE.
HOPE – ELECTRIFIABLE is pretty inventive in and of itself, DW!
PHOTOCOPIABLE – ERF was accepted, but I don’t know what an ERF is. Maybe you can photocopy it?
Wow! I got PHOTOCOPIABLE, but didn’t think to try ERF. Gave up on elegance and went with ELECTRIFIABLE. 26/2
Anyway, 26/2 has some cultural capital if you’re a John Coltrane fan.
firepit – tablecloth
Blimey. I gave up and now I see how many I missed. The closest I got was:
CHARITABLE EPOCH (F)
PITCHABLE ERF (O)
TOPIC CHARITABLE (F)
FIREABLE EPOCH (T)
FOIBLE EARTH (P,C)
CHOCOLATIER RIPE (F,B)
POLARIC CHEAT (F,B)
And some interesting single words:
PHARAOH
PERIPHERAL
PRICEABLE
FLOATABLE
THEATRIC
BEARABLE
HABITABLE
CLEARABLE
BIOCHAR
PRELATIC
REBIRTH
CHAOTIC
ARTICLE
BIOPIC
PHOTIC
BLATHER
POTABLE
PLOTCH
CREOLE
PRECIPITABLE was a nice long one, too, but the remaining letters wouldn’t pan out.
same idea as the official but a little more efficient:
RATIFIABLE — EPOCH
Photic Certifiable
Firepit Tablecloth
Ugh, missed it today after finding many of the wonderful words listed above. Sorry not to be able to do anything with CHARITABLE. Sad part is I actually got EPOCH. Oh well, I live to see another day 🙂
Tough puzzle today! Had high hopes for most of the words on Hy’s list, plus Charcoal, Photoelectric, even Hairpiece. Finally found the official solution.
Answers not up yet for Nov 2 but I got BIOCHAR RUMPLY (13/2)… interestingly I found bio car on the 1st too!
