  1. Sorry to be a whiner, but not crazy about some of the contrived OAs lately…. I got ROBOTIC CLUNKED.

    1. I saw NUCLEOTIDE almost immediately, so I wouldn’t say it’s contrived; it’s just what you’re familiar with. My issue is with UNBROKEN rather than BROKEN. Who would put the UN in front of that with UN already in NUCLEOTIDE?

      ROBOTIC CLUNKED is excellent.

  2. INDUCTOR – ROBOTLIKE here, very inefficient, but not worse than the OA. I can’t believe I missed NUCELOTIDE; we had studied about them not so long ago. It took me quite some time to come up with this solution, after trying BLINKED, INTRODUCE, DEDUCTIBLE, DECIBEL, among others.

Waiting for RF and Irim, hoping to see your unique solutions soon! Have a great weekend everyone, and happy Friday!

    1. Ha, we posted at the same time! See my grumpiness below about why UNBROKEN when BROKEN is more efficient, but BROKEN NUCLEOTIDE here.

Almost immediate after wanting words like COLO(U)RBLIND and INTERLOCKED.

Well done, my lovely, and will check out your puzzle! Have a wonderful weekend. xx

  3. Not sure why the OA here is *unbroken* nucleotide – what do you need the ‘UN’ for? It’s IN ‘nucleotide’.

    My immediate solution was BROKEN-NUCLEOTIDE

    A genetic disaster.

Looking forward to seeing my besties, Kanishk and RF, successful and here shortly.

And we’ve made it to the end of the week – happy Friday, a great weekend, and good luck to everyone solving, congrats to all who succeed!

    1. Ha, I didn’t even notice that at first! Yes, the UN- prefix is completely redundant. Not sure why Sam included it in the OA. Yours is much more efficient.

Well done, Irim! Have a great weekend 😉

  4. KANISHK, didn’t want to post as a response to yours so it wouldn’t spoil it for somebody who was trying to solve it… Was it HUNDRED DEFLECTING?
