          1. VINIFIES-STROBILA
            OBVIATOR-RAINFLIES
            BIVALENTS-STORIFIES
            BLOVIATOR-RAINFLIES
            FAROLITO-OVIBOVINES

          2. FIBROLITE-EVENSTARS
            INFINITIVE-EARLOBES
            FIVESTONES-STROBILA
            LEAFLOVES-STARBOLIN
            BEATIFIES-SLOVENRIES

    1. NICE! Didn’t even go there. I always go for science because those terms are often longer words using the weird letters when it’s looking tough, maybe that’s a mistake.

  1. FLAVONES-STROBILA

Kicking myself for missing FLAVINS for an easy STROBE, but I found FLAVONES (that biology degree does pay off) since I couldn’t do FLAVONOIDS, and was seriously irimtated that STROBIL/STROBILE (think pine cones) weren’t an option. But STROBILA (tapeworm, ewwwww) was. I’m really puzzled at how Sam decides what’s allowed and what’s not.

But UGGGH, no ABLE or AB, ER, TION, etc. I really wanted to be able to use OBSERVATIONAL, ELABORATE in various forms, and was really cross about not being able to use a favourite: BEAVERTAILS.

Anyway, all done in 25 minutes or so – Kanishk & RF, my lovelies, hope to see you and your solutions soon!

Good luck, all, and happy Monday from a decidedly cooler UK!

      1. Well done, both! Ha, love your answer, RF – completely missed BRAINFARTS. I got FIRSTBORN – NOVELA (novela being yet another shot in the dark) after 5 minutes, after fiddling for some time with FAVORITES.

Good job to us three on making it!

        1. Bovines- Stairlift here. Took quite awhile. Saw oneself, but not Vibrato. Was really disappointed I couldn’t finish BLOVIATE or BLOVIATORS.

  2. Catherine Gardiner

I noticed that some spelled Riboflavin with an E at the end. I checked some sources and no where did I find Riboflavin spelled Riboflavine.
However, LB accepted this incorrect spelling.

    1. It is apparently included in the OED and Oxford Dictionary Of Biochemical and Molecular Biology. It is an older spelling. Wish I’d thought of it. 🙂

  3. VITRIFIES – SLAVEBORN, but of course it doesn’t accept SLAVEBORN
so I settled for RIBOFLAVIN – NEST
and now I have the song “Riboflavin” by 45 Grave running through my head

  4. I am not proud of this, but here’s what I got
    BRAINFARTS-SLOVEN
Was pretty surprised that was accepted…
