The answers are:
MOGULLUCRATIVE
CURATIVE – ELECTROGRAM
and OA.
ELECTIVE EMIT TRAITOR RUG
What does “OA” stand for?
ELECTIVE EMIT TRAITOR RUG
What does “OA” stand for?
Got it. “OTHER ANSWER”!
OA = ‘Official Answer’ (MOGUL–LUCRATIVE today)
OA – Official Answer. You’ll likely see “TI” as well in these comments; that stands for Thematic Integrity, a much-prized quality in answers, as much as if not more than efficiency.
In this case the OA has a pretty high level of TI under any definition of Mogul (eg., Mikael Kingsbury monetizing the skiing kind versus the Aga Khan and Sam Goldwyn raking it in as their respective brands of Mogul).
That was mine, too. Then, I tried joining something to the C and found METALOGIC. Then, it occurred to me that METALOGIC–CURVE is even more efficient. Anyway, that’s the story of how I came up with two solutions before I was halfway through my coffee.
Now, I’ll go drink my coffee.
Same
METALOGIC—CURVE
MAUVE ⇄ ELECTROCORTICOGRAM
ELECTROCORTICOGRAM ⇄ MAUVE
AUGURAL-LOCOMOTIVE
HS2?! 🤔
RUGAL also works
RUGAL – LOCOMOTIVE for me today. RUGAL was a total guess on my part!
Same as Fishcake. It popped out first thing. Divining the future via trainspotting?
Had to look up HS2!
But the OA is pretty good! 🤩
GUACAMOLE – EVICTOR
Brilliant!
Oh, brilliant!
oooo nice – I was stuck with GUACAMOLE
Excellent!
MAGIC—COLOURATIVE
I had to use the incorrect Brit spelling. 😉
😡😂
Ditto.
Same. Would never have gotten it were it not for the past communications with our Brit chums.
Makes up for all the times I’ve had to use incorrect American spellings. Bloody IZE endings… 😉
That’s what I got. Thinking I was fancy with my British spelling! Ha.
(I had some bones to pick with Connections today…)
You’re not alone with the Connections bone-picking. Members of a septet.
No spoilers! And I thought it was a fun Connections today. There has to be one curve ball category (like Super, Bat, Spider, Iron from yesterday or the day before). I’ve much enjoyed the game so far. I hope the Puzzle Masters add it to the official roster.
METEOROLOGICAL-LURVE
GEMOLOGICAL-LUCRATIVE
lots of lucrative fun today
I’ll throw MICROLOGICAL LUCRATIVE on the pile
Metrological Luv
METEOROLOGICAL – LUV here too, although personally I’d like some cooler weather.
Couldn’t get any match to locomotive. Finally got the OA. A nice, not ridiculous OA that took a bit of pondering.
Official, for the first time in a while.
15/2.METROLOGICAL
LUV
Urge-electromotive
My bad…forgot the A
AGUE would work….
After my disappointment it would not accept METEORLOGICAL (that is a word), I got the OA
You missed the third O – METEOROLOGICAL
OA here. Happening quite a lot these days.
🐦 ACACIA TIT, GUAM RAIL, TEAL, COUCAL 🐦🐦 LITTLE GULL, VEGA GULL, COOT
On a more serious note, I am beginning to worry about Sota21. I have been on this site almost from the beginning and I cannot think of another regular contributor who has just disappeared like this. Sota was here almost every day, sometimes with multiple great contributions, and clearly enjoyed it. I sure hope nothing terrible has happened.
Online anonymity can have its advantages sometimes, I suppose, but there is something especially distressing about worrying about someone when you have no clue who they really are.
ARGUE ELECTROMOTIVE
Didn’t mean to reply, sorry. That was meant to be a stand alone comment.
Well said, DW.
I agree, DW. I miss SOTA too.
Am I the only one now wondering if Sota may have been a bot all along?
I think you might be Steph, besides probably Bernie.. I for one didn’t think they were a bot. I echo Mvua’s thoughts as I’m even newer, but share the same concern
I ain’t no bot! But of course I WOULD say that, wouldn’t I… So I guess that proves I AM a bot. What if I admit I’m a bot, would that prove the opposite?
Just call me Sydney and have done with it.
DW and others: I have certainly not been commenting here as long as many, but I share your sentiments and concern. Hope to see their moniker pop up again soon.
Agreed here, DW. Let’s hope they turned out to be some mogul who ended up with some super lucrative deal but it made them super busy?
I rarely post because someone has usually already found my answer but I do read the responses fairly regularly. I noticed that SOTA21 had added a twist to her game, like Mark, and you, DW. Maybe due to boredom or something else? You three are very good at this game. Anyway, I agree with your sentiments about these anonymous sites. I hope she has just gotten bored and decided to move on. I pray nothing has happened to her.
(Another rugal-locomotive here)
I second everything you’ve said, DW. We had many friendly interactions here, well beyond the scope of the game – swapping music suggestions and the like – and I miss them! I do hope they’re okay…
Guacamole Electromotive
OA
RUGAL—LOCOMOTIVE for me today… I like the OA better!
Official.
Can anyone make molecule work?
I tried, but MOLECULE—EMIGRATIVE was unfortunately unaccepted.
That looks like it should be acceptable. Nice try
A “colorful” day, with an interesting relationship between Olive and Teal:
CAMEL #C19A6B, CORAL #FF7F50, ECRU #C2B280, LILAC #C8A2C8, MAUVE #E0B0FF,
OLIVE #808000, TEAL #008080, TOMATO #FF6347, VIOLET #8F00FF
Mogra Articulative.
I never heard of mogra either, but it was accepted.
Good one!
I’ll add mogra to my database.
Interesting words people came up with. I got the OA after many dead ends.
Curtilage. Emotive
Metrological Luv
Size matters.
Urological Locomotive
Very uneconomical …
Guacamole evictor no avocados here!
Oh no! this one is funny, awkward; I don’t even know.
For Gero
