OA, immediately.
Curious to see what else everyone will find.
OA, very quick.
Official. Gotta admit it’s not easy to find others
OA
Animal: BALD EAGLE
Color: BLACK #000000
Food: PEACH KEBAB and TEA
Hebrew: ALEPH א, BETH ב
I got the OA, too. I remember an LB a long time ago when there was just the one vowel – A. The answer was something like ANAGRAM-MARSHLAND. Good to have these curveballs every once in a while.
It was MARSHLAND-DRAWBACK! Spent ages trying to remember that. 🤦🏽♀️
Got the OA. After tossing up chalked, blackened, backtrack etc.
Loving the new NYT Connections too. 🙂
Love it too! I think they should add a couple of red herrings so the last one group would be challenging.
I know, right? What would likely be the most obscure category ends up being ‘connected’ by default.
You are so right! Surely they will change this.
I hope they do!
You’re right there! When I played yesterday I noticed, by the process of elimination the last row is a gimme.
I’m also digging Connections! I had to go find it on the internet, though – I couldn’t find it in the NYT App Games section. Maybe because it’s Beta.
Official here as well and quickly too.
Don’t think a solution without a compound word is possible. Anyone up for the challenge?
OA. Length came quickly, but Backpedal took a while.
OA but not quick for me.
So much for the run of fun days with a variety of creative solutions (sigh). This is a one-hit wonder for sure.
🐦 NENE, KEA, GALAH, CHAT, BALD EAGLE, BLACK EAGLE, CAPE TEAL
Nice birding finds today DW! OA here as well and I have to agree with you on the singularity of answers today. Happy Wednesday all!
Oa in short order thanks to backpedal. After I thought there must be an -able word but I did not see anything.
DETACHABLE took me out of the game for a minute . . .
Same. Lots of good words. Those pesky “almost” solutions
☕☕
I agree with AJ and DW on this puzzle being, most likely, a singular solution. Strange things have happened before however where someone finds another valid solution later in the day. That’d be good.
There is a symmetric triple that encompasses the OA that I did not expect:
BACKPEDAL—LENGTH—HAB
HAB—BACKPEDAL—LENGTH
LENGTH—HAB—BACKPEDAL
I didn’t know HAB previously though.
Have great day all!
OA
OA
Saw LENGTH quickly and figured it must be part of the OA given how few vowels there were, but was having a hard time coming up with anything that ended in an L. Messed around with BLACKENED as an alternative for awhile before PEDAL jumped out at me, then everything clicked.
Much more satisfying than yesterday’s BANJOIST. 🙄
OA here too
I STILL feel like that’s a building construction term!
🙁
Official, took ages!
