Junctions Snackbar here as well, great TI. Also Backrubs Subjunction, which hasn’t got much, although Backrubs is good…
Conjob was not accepted. Not that it would have gone anywhere, but I object in principle.
The OA is an odd one. I kept reading Banjoist as Ban-Joist, presuming it to be a construction term I never heard of. Took me quite a while to think Musician!

    1. Same here! Was happy to finally be able to use the B and J together. The second word could actually be SUCK, SOCK, or SACK (any of the vowels on that side). Though it’s a bit crass, SUCK may have the more TI of the three.

Janitor is an excellent find for the J, good work Tim. But how Rockburst can be an accepted word when Conjob is not, is a mystery!

    2. Thanks both! Oddly enough, I tried and found Rockburst completely separately from Janitor, which I’d found earlier but kind of gave up on, only to see it again once I learned Rockburst was acceptable… Which, yes Bernie, drew all of the shoulder shrugs from me 🙂

  1. SUBJUNCTIONS -STARK for me. Was about to ask what a banjoist was, when I realised it has three syllables! Doh!
I wanted BISCUITJAR to work. Could have sat on Steph’s snackbar.

      1. the rest of my word list: CARJACK CONSTRUCTIONS INSTITUTIONS INSTRUCTIONS JANITORS JUNCTIONS STABS STARK STRUCK SANITATION SUBSTITUTION TRACTION TRACTORS

The OA does at least remind me of a favorite joke:
What is perfect pitch? It’s when you pitch an accordion into a dumpster and it lands on a banjo.

  3. I did notice one of my current favourite singers in there: Jacob Banks (By Design). Also NUBUCK, BURKA, CONJUNCTIONS…
And oh my, another NYT game today: Connections. What with Wordle, Spelling Bee, Digits and Letter Boxed, I barely have time to brush my teeth any more!

    1. The Connections game is great! I’m wondering if NYT got the idea from us categorizing words here on this forum. Birds, Mammals, Colors, etc…

  4. I found CONJURATIONS – SNACKBAR quite quickly, but, as I do, checked to see if they were both PSWs, and SNACKBAR is not, so I had to disqualify myself and move on to CONJURATIONS – SACKBUT. Maybe another instrument for Bernie’s perfect pitch.

Will have to return later for birds…

Thanks for the Sackbut! Missed that one even though it features in a lot of my conversations, ‘cause everyone likes to say Sackbut!

    2. Okay, I finally has time to look for birds. Quite the haul today!

  5. Didn’t spend long today, no 2 word answer for me, here’s my 3w’s: CARBONATION NINJAS SUCK (long but I thought it was funny); or, JOB BISCUITS SNARK.

  6. I hope muva comes back. Making connections with words is their specialty.

I also meant to recommend a board game called tribond. Similar theme.

  7. Banjoist. Really? I read that as Ban joist. Banjo-ist. Okay.
Hubby said you’ll never get the first word.
    He was right!
