VEHICLE-ENGRAFT after trying FANLIGHT, EVANGELIC, VALENCE (so sorry TRIVALENCE didn’t work, that and FIGHT would have been perfect!), and so on, gutted that FARTHINGALE didn’t work. 25 minutes with a lot of trial and error.
Kanishk and RF, can’t wait to see you here (missing you, K!).
Good luck, everyone, and happy Tuesday!
Failed…Didn’t expect the V and the H to go together.
Amazing job Miss Irim. 👍
Kanishk-boy hasn’t came back yet. I’m starting to miss him.
FANLIGHT pairs with TETRAVALENCE, which is not accepted by LB but still a word
Danced all around it, but just another one of those words I don’t think I’ve ever used or run across in my life, so it just never would have occurred to me without outside help. Curious to see if any more mainstream solutions turn up, felt like there were a lot of “almosts” floating around.
A VEHICLE rolled into an enchanted workshop where vines ENCIRCLE the fenders, bright flowers ELEVATE the old car, and curious birds ALIGHT on every branch. Forest creatures admire the wonderfully ECLECTIC masterpiece while the smiling mechanic completes one final, careful ENGRAFT.
Zip Today.
Found vehicle but failed to partner it with a word. I’m very familiar the word Graft but not so much with Engraft.
But on the bright side, I did learn how to do a tree graft in my second year of high school.
Like some others I missed today as ENGRAFT isn’t in my vocabulary. Tried EARTHLIGHT, EVANGELIC, FARCE etc. Oh well – tomorrow is another day!
FAIL!
Tried lots of words with “en” but none of them took – enflight, enflair – didn’t think of engraft
Tried evangelic-crafteth – no dice
just when I think I’m getting the hang of this…
Vehicle engraft after all day. Also firthe(OED-archaic Middle English) evangelic
I tried: egalitarian vegetarian flagrante vagrant heart rate tangential arthritic ancient elegance vengeance valiance varietal ventricle ventilate aircraft cleavage artificial athletic electrician Levantine Venetian a flight and MANY more besides vehicle . Aaaarghh
