Tres drole, DHW! I’m sure that’s exactly what’s happening!
That is one obscure OA today. Makes me feel a bit better about Cysts Skimboard, which I would have said was my dumbest answer ever if not for yesterday’s Outflows Speckliest…

      1. Very funny. Skimboards-cysts as well. Some days you know it’s not an oa.

I was hoping rock stardom was one word. Dartboard, corkboard, dockyard were accepted but failures. Skyboard was not a lb word.

    2. So flipping annoying. I got morbidity and yaks and dismissed them. On the one hand think, oh well, nearly… On the other hand, gotta give myself a deadline on these cause unless sighted fast, they drive me crazy.

    1. Oh, wait… I forgot to check if these are both PSWs, and MOCKY is not. So I guess it’s a fail today even though the puzzle accepted it.

  1. Fail today. Comorbidity is a new one on me.
Idiomatism (but not idiomatist) was accepted, though the only definition I can find, lists it as a Romanian word. Not that it did me any good.

  2. Honestly surprised this was the OA. Was searching for something to pair with YAKISOBA, and then thought back to what I might do with MORBIDITY (my first ‘false lead’ of the day). Once I stumbled on COMORBIDITY, it was clear that my second word could be shorter.
So, I suppose one alternative is COMORBIDITY–YAKISOBA, but it doesn’t really have anything more to boast about in the TI department.

    1. Fishing market in Myanmar ?
Admittedly stretching the TI to the max 😄

Currencies: CORDOBA, DIRAM, DOBRA, DRAM, KYAT, MARK 🙂 , SOM, TAKA

  3. CYSTS – SKIMBOARD, as Bernie above. A lot of false starts, and a lot of potential solutions barred by IC/ AC/ TO combinations. I also tried to find something to go with BASTARDY without success.

  4. OA after much time wasted on CORKBOARD, STARBOARD, SMARTY, and every random letter combination I could try adding to ROCK and DOCK.

Also gave up on MORBIDITY for a bit before adding the CO, then thankfully realized YAKS was left over (I usually assume the Y-word will be the end word when they show up in puzzles, to my own detriment).
