    1. I always get letterbox. I never sweat the letters. I make words that connect in record time. This took me 5 hours. It was like an out of body experience. I mean I can see taking 10 minutes but I could not get this. Until I finally did. I don’t even understand the answers on top. The words I put together were HIKER, REVOLVER, RIGOR, REF, FOXIE , ECHO for anyone out there still pulling their hair out.

  1. I’m pretty sure this is another puzzle with only one two-word solution, which, frankly, takes a lot of the fun out of it. No way to beat the house. And no entertaining answers from fellow players!

    1. … At least I didn’t waste half my day the way I did with JAGUARUNDI – IMPEL, which left me psychologically scarred.

I concur, this is almost certainly the only two-word solution for this array, and it does rather spoil the fun. But thanks for the callback to Jaguarundi Impel! That was ages ago – you must have been badly shaken by it. I surmise it’s in your personal Letterboxed Hall of Infamy. Mine includes the one with Verklempt from a while back…
Perhaps others will want to take this occasion to reminisce about their own puzzle trauma?.

        1. No specific cases, but frustrations that come to mind are:
          – beautiful solutions with one letter remaining or lacking
          – cases where repeating letters would make a nice solution
          – being unable to use the unicorn words (everyone has their favourites)
          – single obvious 13/2 solutions, though trying instead to make extra-long solutions helps ease the pain, and of course
          – that feeling that you’re missing a solution but you have already spent way too much time.
