    1. Same– I’ve toyed with the idea.
      👓
–Surprised that the British spelling is accepted.
On some word recently (can’t remember which one) it was not.

  1. I also found COLOURATIVE-EYEWEAR. Must have grated for some! 😉
On the way messed around with LEVITATOR, CLEVERLY, LIVEWIRE, OVERCOAT, OVERWRITE…

  2. OUTWRITE—EVOCATIVELY

    LIVER #674C47
OLIVE #808000 (red + green, no blue)
    VOLT #CEFF00
YELLOW #FFFF00 (red + green, no blue)

        1. For “pigment green” you’re absolutely right Judy.

“In painting (subtractive color system), green is not a primary color, but is created by mixing yellow and blue.”

I’ve been using the “additive color system” where green is a primary color. Mixing light as opposed to paint.

          Good call.

        1. The word ‘outwrite’ is new to me. Here is what I found:
“Let the Comedie Humaine write itself and it will outwrite Balzac.”
          –Bidwell
“This says, you have a noble pattern; but I hope I may say, you outwrite your copy.”
          — the covenants and the covenanters–??? which in turn led me down this rabbit hole:
          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covenanters#:~:text=Covenanters%20(Scottish%20Gaelic%3A%20Cùmhnantaich),bond%20or%20agreement%20with%20God.
No poem today– my head is spinning outright!

  3. After several days without a solution, I snapped up the first thing I found–which turns out to be the OA.

    1. Same here. I’ll hang my hat on the fact that it’s slightly more efficient than the OA, if less thematically taut.

  4. Very satisfying to finally get something, and then discover it is the OA! Esp after ditching yesterday’s. 🙂

  5. Failed again today. Didn’t see ‘OVER’ as a possible prefix. Tried a few ‘OUT’ words and ended up with VAC CLEAROUT TWIRLY.

  6. many matches, but none are “pure”: outwrite, outwrote, outwore [+ evocatively]; overwrite, overwrote [+ electuary]; outerwear [+ reactively]

  7. Bernie Horowitz

Outwear Reactively, more efficient than the OA, and Outwrite Evocatively, better TI than either. Missed Outwore Evocatively, so kudos to Leonard and Cliona.
Altogether a pretty Meh array. No Outcry of (dis)Covery.

  8. OA Stuck too long on ‘creativity’ before finding ‘wear’ and then ‘outer.’ Just needed to rehome the ‘c.’
