CRACKDOWNNIGHT

CRACKDOWN—NIGHT
HIGHROAD—DOWNTICK
KICKDOWN—NIGHTCART
I sense some theme, but can’t quite grasp it yet.
🤔
GOTHIC—CRACKDOWN
CRACKDOWN—NIGHTGOWN
This mysterious theme…
GOTHIC CRACKDOWN is great; when I finally saw CRACKDOWN, NIGHT was so beautifully placed, I didn’t look any further.
Also…
Crackdown – Night.
Almost…
Roadwork – Knight (no C)
(I feel there is an answer here)
CRACKDOWN – NIGHT
OA.
14/14
OA, and that took far longer than it had any business doing, because I was so married to DOWNRIGHT TACK and was willing it to work, in addition to wanting THWACK or WHACK work as well.
Was also too busy growling at DIR and the inability to do ING, CONTRA, THORACIC, etc. etc. Then I looked away, came back, and saw it.
OA after tryiing NIGHTGOWN
Same, also tried TRACKDOWN and DOWNTRACK, as well as WORKNIGHT, none of which were accepted. Was a head-slapper to have the OA right there and take that long for my brain to see it, but NIGHTGOWN jarred it loose.
Same. OA after Nightgown, Dogtrack, Downwind, etc.
OA after some good words that didn’t work
OA
CRACKDOWN-NIGHT also
OA before I left the driveway. 13/14.
highroad downtick
Kickdown nightcart
OA after trying Nightwork to no avail.
HIGHROAD DOWNTICK
Highroad downtick after a struggle. Can’t believe I missed crackdown all that time
Crackdown Night
Ended up going with the three word consolation prize:
GOTHIC – CROWD – DAIKON (group of people wearing black eyeliner and eating Japanese radishes)
PICKLER RAREFICATION
