The answers are:
COHABITTUNGSTEN
BUNCHIEST—TOGA
🥻👘 (couldn’t find toga emoji 🙄)
Same here, after finding TUNGSTEN but failing to pair it up with anything.
Bounciest Thang
It’s amazing what’s accepted by this puzzle’s dictionary, and mystifying, what is not accepted.
Me, too. Tigger.
Same here
Same. Better than the official at 13/2
Same here. For some reason, they wouldn’t allow BOUNCEHOUSE
Same as Mark. Was a little embarrassed by ‘bunchiest’ but oh well, I don’t make the rules. ☺️ It’s a nice efficient solution though.
Pretty great, Mark!
GHOSTS – SUBTENANCIES for me, which is also nicely evocative.
Good one Jill, with ‘subtenancies’. Building on that theme:
HANGOUTS—SUBTENANCIES

BOUNCIEST – THANG 🙂
BOUNCIEST – THANG 14/2 (same as PG who, unnecessarily IMHO, pinned it as a reply to a different solution). Tried SIGN, SIGH, CHOSEN, ABEIGH, COBNUTS, COUNTIES, BIGHA, BANTENG, HOAGIES, along with several HOUSEs (ICEHOUSE, TEAHOUSE, NUTHOUSE) of which BAGHOUSE was brushed off. But where the word list’s inconsistency reached new heights was when it accepted HAGBUT but not HAGBUTS (wait, what?)!
BOUNCIEST – THANG, y’all.
I had to look up HAGBUT, so that’s my new word for the day. Fascinating etymology! But it’s strange, as you note, that the game allows one but not two. 15th-century arms control, perhaps?
I was DEFINITELY posting that as a reply to Sota. This website is absolutely the bounciest thang.
That’s DW for you; always putting a positive spin on things -or should I say ‘thangs”?
The puzzle does accept THANGS.
Won’ t be long before we’re literally lost for words with this shambolic list…
Right; singulars & plurals should be independently verified…
bunchiest – toga
Bounciest Thang.
Reminded me of a certain rap song I will rephrase the lyrics – “I am callipygieneophile”
Turns out bouncy thang is available on spotify
BOUNCIEST THANG is a winner.
also BUNCHIEST — TOGA … an ancient greek’s worst nightmare
Well i just plain gave up today. No patience. Too many close calls and i get super annoyed when i suspect compound words might be in the mix. I even had bounciest early on and saw thang but i should know to just type things or “thangs” in but oh well…
I got Cohabit Tungsten but it took way too long! I was trying to work with Beanbags for a while
Eventually found the popular Bounciest Thang, after getting lost in Bights, Hognuts, Chestnuts, Ghosts, Ethics, Anesthetics, Beauticians, Aestheticians, and everything imaginable involving Houses. I had Bunchiest early on but somehow missed Toga – the best answer of the day imho.
Hagbut is s quite a find, but the mystery of the unacceptable plural will ssdly remain unsolved.
Foiled again! I really wanted Touchiest or Gigantic or Busiest, etc. to work. My best: 14/3 Touches-Snag-Gib. Lots of close calls and great words.
Echoes Subgiant
Getting an education here – HAGBUT and THANG taking the top new entries for me. Couldn’t crack this one today. Could be COVID brain (yes, second time through!) but I need to brush up on my elements and ancient firearms for future puzzles:-)
Happy to see someone got “hangouts” to work, I was stumped on that one. Found ECHOES – SUBGIANT, lucky guess, didn’t really think that was a word. As a matter of fact spell check has the red angry line under it right now?
Did anyone out there get hung up on STOCHASTIC? You find a word like that and just expect it to be a part of the solution. . . .
This one got away from me, I’ll admit.
