New Streak. 👍
Well done, RF! Meanwhile, see my very long story under Kanishk’s answer for how my morning went.
Absolutely should have had OA as soon as.
Mark – surprised it took the British spelling of PLOUGHWRIGHT! That means he could have taken TURPID.
Well done, RF!
PLOWRIGHT—TURNROUND
PLOUGHWRIGHT—TURNROUND
WOUNDWORT—TOPLIGHT
PROPOUND—DOWNLIGHT
UNWOUND DROPLIGHT, after banging my head for a minute not seeing a connection for the N and D to go with PLOUGHWRIGHT. Glad somebody got it though!
I was surprised it took PLOWRIGHT and PLOUGHWRIGHT.
Wound Droplight

It took me half an hour, because I was stuck on DOWNLIGHT and didn’t see PROPOUND, though I know it as a word. I was so livid at the inability to do TURPIN, TURNIP, TURPID (YES, IT’S A WORD, SAM!!) and so many other options that I missed TULIP when I switched to DOWNRIGHT.
Went to DOWNTURN, saw PLIGHT, was further frustrated when I couldn’t connect it, then remembered TURNDOWN, but I should have had OA 15 minutes earlier with TULIP, and would have, if I hadn’t been cursing Sam out for not having TURPID as an option!
Still, it’s done and happy Friday, my lovelies! Love that you and RF got it right away.
Oh yes, I was so involved in the story that I forgot to state the solution: PLIGHT-TURNDOWN.
I saw TURPID too, and agree it should have been accepted.
Oh, Irim, I’m so sorry to hear that, it happens even to the best of us. Still, well done, and good job spotting TURPID (I didn’t know it was a word until just now!).
Indeed, LB’s word list is VERY erratic, Sam needs to update it soon. It’s bizarre when words like AVOIRDUPOIS are accepted when it won’t accept some common words used in everyday speech.
“Downright Tulip!”
Grandpa comments on easter sunday fashion.
