      1. These are great! I settled for the OA Farthing Grovel. Whst, for a farthing? Nope. Also found Frothing Gavel / Gravel, but Meh. Doubtless there are plenty more where those came from in this fruitful array; looking forward to reading them later.

    1. Yep.
TI: What the planet 🌍 has to do because of how much we pollute it. Or what we are bound to beg for whenever we meet extraterrestrials 👽 since we will no doubt commit some intergalactic faux paus

    1. I’m surprised that LB accepted “goeth”. My first try today was flavoring-giveth and it was rejected as not being a word.

      1. Flavoring – Goeth. I too was surprised.
And they were my only guesses today. Satisfying way to start the morning. ☀️

    2. Same.

I was surprised LB accepted GOETH since LB wouldn’t accept WAXETH the last Thursday when my immediately seen two-word solution was WAXETH-HIJACKERS.

    1. Farthingale is one of my favorite words. Just the sound and the flow of it. Like a ride through a forest rich with moss and fallen leaves.

A beautiful word lost from daily use.

      1. I saw Foghat just before Christmas at the Academy of Music in NYC in 1974. Also saw David Bowie on the Diamond Dogs Tour at MSG the same year.

        1. They backed up every act for at least six months in 1973 around the Cleveland, Ohio area. They and Aerosmith were the “go-to” backup bands back then. I must have seen them both at least a dozen times in a one-year period. Needless to say, they played the same songs, and it got quite old. I will say that i never expected either of them to have as much success as they have had. Good memories!

          1. On Jan. 18. 1970, my sister got tickets for us to see the last of four shows by the Doors at the Felt Forum at MSG. It was the first time I ever did acid and I only remember that they opened the show with Roadhouse Blues. They played till 2:30 am and it was the last time the Doors ever played in NYC with Jim Morrison. At the last show they performed in the US at The Warehouse in New Orleans, Jim Morrison had a breakdown and died a year later in Paris.

  1. Fortnight Travel… is hard on account of all the shooting.

    Farthing Grovel… “bah humbug!”

    Thief Flavoring… like chicken strips?

Frothing Gavel… the bar across from the courthouse.

    1. Frothing – Gavel in about a minute. I like your TI (the bar across from the courthouse). It made me smile.
Also, nice to have an easy solve that doesn’t take up too much of my day or my brain power.

  2. The FORLEAVING°—GOLIATH was EVENFORTH°⁻—HIGHTAILING across the FROTHING—GRAVEL, away from the FRIGHTENING—GIGAVOLT† of the FOILING—GRAVEGARTH°⁻, and finally made his way up the FARTHINGALE—ELEVATOR.

After this FORTNIGHT—of—TRAVELING, he saw the FLORIAGE°—EVENLIGHT°. It was beautiful. He checked his INFLIGHT—TRAVELOG for the correct FLAVOR—RIGHTEN. It was at this moment he rested, pondered, and decided to FORGIVE—the—EARTHLING.

    The End

  3. OA. I’m happy it was “too” easy. Less than a minute, now I’m a 3 days in a row winner, after being a 12 days in a row non-winner the previous 12 days.

  4. FARTHING GROVEL “Please sir, just a bit more”
Staeted with TRAVELING and thought it would be good but was unable to link it with anything using the remaining letters.
