PROCLIVITIES – SWIM.
9/12.
38/43.
Another hard one for me. I was so mad at Sam for cutting off possibilities like -IVE. Found IMPROVS, TROPICS and then toyed around with VIEWPORTS for what seemed like ages hoping it would work. VIEWPORTS – SEMICIRCLE wasn’t possible because of LEV. Also tried pairing CLOMPIEST (not sure what it means), TWERPS and SCREWTOP (I was so sure this would work!). Finally spotted PROCLIVITIES, and got both the OA and PROCLIVITIES – SWIM at the same instant.
10/12, 37/43
Ah, Kanishk – also cross just for the VE, because words like VELOCITIES, etc. and OSI – so OSIS/OSE/ISE (I often cheat with the UK ending b/c I’ve lived here so long!) were impossible.
I’m giggling because unexpectedly, my solution was completely IT based, using the word you spent so much time with, but taking the S off: VIEWPORT-TIMESLICE worked nicely.
Well done, both!
