Trigons Specky. Two words I’ve never said out loud.
TRIGONS-SPECKY
My solve also🙃
CRYOGENICS – SKEPTIC
Quick one today.
I got that one too.
As Ron Popeil would say, “But wait, there’s more!”
KETOGENIC—CRISPY
TRYPSINOGEN—NECKTIES
KRYPTONITE—ECTOGENESIS
CRYPTOGENETIC—CRICKS, —COCKEYES

Happy Hunting, LBers!
Really fun grid today! Got SKEPTIC – CRYPTOGENIC quickly, and I was so pleased to have a fast solve that I did not look for more efficient solutions – kicking myself right now, because I missed the much more elegant SKEPTIC – CRYOGEN, which Mark mentioned in his list.
Also, I will stop posting LB puzzles from now onwards, because coming up with them (especially keeping thematic integrity in mind!) takes up a LOT of time. And I’ve run out of ideas for new grids. I will be, however, posting daily ‘unscramble’ puzzles which are much more easier and faster to make, as well as to solve 😉 Thanks to RF, Irim, Mark and MSC for regularly playing my puzzles.
Looking forward to your solutions, Irim and RF, hoping the triumvirate comes back on track today. Happy Tuesday to all.
Thanks Kanish, those sound fun. I’ll see if I can resurrect my 12/1 challenges. One 12-letter word as the solution, the LB holy grail. I have a list of such words, I think around 200.
If you do, I’ll make sure to play them. 👍
The desperately inefficient KRYPTONITE-ECTOGENESIS here, but quite content with that – ectogenesis being the gestation of a foetus outside the womb.
Well done, Kanishk, welcome back to your LB roll! Waiting on RF, about to begin this conference day. Good luck, everyone, and happy Tuesday!
Trypsinogen-Nick. Looks like today is one for the science folks. 107/118, 24/28, 2, 36
I always look forward to play your puzzles Kanishk
KRYPTONITE – EGOCENTRICS.
Desperately wanted KRYPTONITE to work because every time it was part of the OA in the past, I always missed it. When I found it today, I kept coming back to it several times until finally I found EGOCENTRICS. Though I didn’t expect the pair to be the OA because of the inefficiency. Happy to see that Miss Irim used KRYPTONITE too.
Kanishk-boy, welcome back on your winning form. The triumvirate triumped again. Excited to play your new puzzle. And, thank you for the extra game past and future ones.
Wow, I’m impressed. I made KRYPTONITE and couldn’t see what I could do with it. And it’s always irritating when you’ve got a word that uses 9 of the 12 letters on the box and you still can’t finish.
Didn’t see EGOCENTRICS. Coulda, woulda, shoulda!
Congrats.
Thanks!
🤗
PYKNOTIC – CRYOGENS
nice solution!
Cryogenics
Skeptic
Trigons specky
Trigons specky
CRYOGENS SKEPTIC
OPTOGENETICS – SKYR
Using genetics and optics to make Icelandic yoghurt…?
I like that one!
KRYPTONITE – ECIGS
Wasn’t sure ecigs would be accepted but it was!
For those of you playing at home, ECIGS makes sense when you hyphenate it E-CIGS. But congrats on guessing correctly that Sam Ezersky would accept it.
So many fun answers here. I just came up with skeptic-cryogenic pretty quickly so just stopped there.
Ketogenic crispy. Sounds like possibly oA
Cryogenics skeptic . Even better. Is that the most obvious TI in memory
TRYPSINOGEN NICK
Trypsinogen is the inactive precursor of trypsin, which is a digestive enzyme that scientists use to get adherent mammalian cells into solution.
Cryogenics & Skeptic
Too hard today & took too long!
CRYPTOGENIC – COCKS
Cryptogenic Conks
KRYPTONITE-EGOCENTRICS
Cryptogenic cokes
cola deep in the caves
Also got cryptogenic cocks but didn’t dare try a TI
Cryptogenic/cricks. Not as efficient as the OA, alas, but I liked it well enough anyway!
