LIMBOOVERDRAFT
DRIFTER-REMOVABLE
Ditto…
Me five with DRIFTER-REMOVABLE. Solution was easy; I thought finding a funny theme would be impossible, but happy to log in & laugh😄😄😄😄
Favorite – embalmed … after all it’s important your favorite is embalmed!
Same…
same here~
I got another one. Favorite and Enbalm. This only works because this thing uses American English.
Aesop’s comeback… FABLER REMOTIVATED
Got the same. Like the Aesop comment
Same. I liked favorited-draftable but draftable was not a lb word.
Also no M?
Oh you’re right. I cannot remember whatever I pared with draftable.
Paired wow I am having a tough day. Third cup of coffee maybe.
Motivated-draftable
DW got to use VOMITED -you could have also gone MOTIV(AT)ED.
Same for me.
Same here, right off the bat (I dig the official, however).
LBF score 7 (6/12 letters guessed). Going
ESX IYL KOD TFU
next.
That was DRIFTER – REMOVABLE (& meant as a reply to Cliona).
Favorite embalmed
Same here! I’m not sure that a theme is directly implied, but I think I like the kind of story it suggests.
Drifter Removable here as well. Shouldn’t take much effort to get rid of one, but why bother? He’ll remove himself soon enough.
😂
John Rambo would disagree.
Well, LB didn’t accept Rambo. So, drifter removable after all. (also my answer).
This was an entertaining set of letters. My first solution was VOMITED – DRAFTABLE. The puzzle would not accept the latter, but it’s a PSW, so I count it a win. I kept toying around, though, and found the official and a bunch of others, some of which included PSWs not accepted or accepted non-PSWs, of which AMBO – OVERLIFTED was my favourite, bringing to mind either a very short priest or two monks who threw their backs out moving heavy furniture.
Interesting birds today! In the singles: EARED DOVE, MARBLED TEAL, VARIED TIT (which I photographed last weekend in Japan), DIVER, VIREO, DODO, and EIDER. In the doubles: BARRED DOVE, FLAT-BILLED VIREO, and TATTLER. In the local unofficial nicknames category: FATBIRD, for some reason a British name for the Pectoral Sandpiper (and apparently also used by some as an alternate name for the Oilbird); and MEATBIRD, an by early settler name for the Canada Jay, formerly known as the Gray Jay and a.k.a. the Whiskey Jack, an anglicization of the Algonquian “Wisagatcak,” meaning trickster — an apt descriptor of this very fun bird.
Another DRIFTER-REMOVABLE. I’ve lost count 🙂
Drifter removable here too
As noted draftable was not acceptable tell that to the nfl scouts.
its 3 but i love it: medieval labor rift! the peasants tried to unionize but some voted against self interest …some things never change. detroiter here too.
Hmmm, I found FAVORITE – EMBALMED and I thought it might even be the official. HA , silly me.
It’s a good solution that doesn’t use the -ABLE suffix.
Fordable Emotive
drifter – removable
DRIFTER-REMOVABLE
Reminding me of that sad film ‘Into the Wild’.
Variant (longer) OVERDRAFT TIMETABLE
Yes, I went back between things in my day and noticed this too.
That was me too
An honourable mention should go out to DW for being the only one to have worked out the official solution -up until now. I guess I’m right in calling it -hands down- the most unpopular official answer ever, & it was a cool one, too (REMOVABLE was probably too obvious for most of us to be digging any deeper)…
Drifter Removable
First time ever 2-solve! Drifter Removable
Had Motivated Draftable but it said draftable was not a word! Wut? https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/draftable
