“it’s, ok… but make the chords swankier.”
– George Martin to the Beatles.
Nice! Way to make it contemporary(-ish). I was thinking Bach something on a pipe organ in a Gothic cathedral.
Me too!
Same. That makes six of us. Swankier was the first word I saw so minimal effort today.
I was thinking the colonel that got promoted. But I will leave the ti to the professionals.
Me too. My first attempt was SKANKIER. More Gorillaz than Beatles.
Same here, and quickly too 🙂
Here, too.
I really like this answer!
Yep. After being disappointed ADIRONDACKS was not accepted. I don’t know what I would have done with it, but it was pleasing to find.
Ditto!
Chords swankier also
Me too, after much searching – almost gave up after having ENCROACHES – SKIDROW rejected.

WORKHORSE – ECHIDNA. The anteater who just will not quit.
Back for birds later if I have time.
This is the snazziest answer I’ve seen in a long time, DW! Outstanding effort on the TI.
OA for me, although Dishwasher Reckons has better TI. In these days of full employment, they might reasonably expect better pay.
Your comment made be burst out laughing, Bernie! 😂
Brilliant!!
WORKHORSE – ECHIDNA for me too
My answer as well.
🐦 AKIKIKI, CROW, HERON, HORNERO, KAKA, KOKAKO, NENE, SWAN, WREN 🐦🐦 ROOK, WOODHEN
ECHIDNAs… about as near to a bird as you can be as a mammal.
Roadshows – snackier … I’m off to find myself a total snack at one

My phone underlines snackier in red though.
CHORDS – SWANKIER
Another Chords Swankier for me too
Got distracted while solving today, and wrote some sentences/phrases through the box. The idea wasn’t to stop after each word linking endings and beginngs with commnon letters. Instead, I proceed by bouncing off the sides and coming up with something that made at least a little sense after exhausting all letters. Limiting exercises like this can often get the mind/imagination going.
ONCE I SAW A KID HERE.
HOW CAN SHE RISK A DONOR?
I suppose if I had to write a short story and was drawing a complete blank, I might use the old LB to direct some creative juices.
Nice going, KP. That’s how I felt when I was trying to rhyme the Quads. They may not make complete sense, but some parts may still ring true nonetheless; and, as you’ve alluded to, open other doors.
I was really going strong on the Quads awhile back, then I slacked off. A lot of computing horsepower is needed to search those patterns, but you’ve inspired me to look again. 👍
This. Is. Brilliant.
Super fun!!
Thanks for the positive vibes, folks!
building on KP’s theme:
ONCE SHE SAW KIDS HERE
A once-known crow, she risked a dare
She said: “Kid swans know horses care.
Kid herons reckon orchids hear,
Echidna kids sense air is worn.”
A workhorse snake dares her scorn,
A kid rook hears his chordish cries.
Kid horses know a crow is kin;
Who asks, or knows when a kid crow dies?
This site just keeps getting better.
That WAS super fun.
Yes, thank you Jill. For consistently adding a wow factor.
Chords – Swankier for me too.
Dhows snackier. Dhows was a guess.
OA! 🙂
