Although I failed to pair it with NEOPHYTE.
I had QUATERNION too but also failed to find a partner. Ended up with QUORATE-EPIPHANY.
I was that guy today: quarternion–neophyte.
Quite pleased with myself for getting quaternion neophyte pretty quickly, despite the length.
QUARTE – EPIPHANY 14/2, which improved the initial INQUORATE – EPIPHANY 17/2. I also found the official answer.

I had Quatrain early on, but didn’t see Neophyte and moved on. I like the official for its Baby’s First Poem theme, but at 16/2 it’s less efficient than the 15/2 Requote Epiphany, which has its own thematic charms.
Thank you Bernie. I got equator and then started playing around with the remaining letters. I was surprised phytine was accepted. I believe it is used as a dietary supplement.

Took forever. Quatrain was my first word. Gave up found quarternion and saw neophyte. So went back to my first word for the official. 😩
