LANKIER—RUMPTY
Same. Rumpty is new word for me, just a stab in the dark.

Planeity was my stab in the dark
LANKIER—RUMPTY

Upmarket tinkly
Of course he went for YARMULKE as OA – missed that, or didn’t see it yet. I tried MANIPULATE (was gutted that PLANETARIUM, ULTRAMARINE, PARLIAMENT, MULTIYEAR, PENULTIMATE, PERMALINK, and PREMATURELY didn’t work) then saw UPMARKET, and TINKLY took a moment (because I wanted TINGLY for some reason). 12-15 minutes.
So UPMARKET-TINKLY here – expensive windchimes or jhumka earrings.
Kanishk and RF, we’ll probably cross over, but can’t wait to see you and your solutions!
Good luck, everyone, and happy Tuesday!
Same minds with you today Miss Irim. I got UPMARKET – TINKLY too. Hmmmm…what could Kanishk-boy come up today? I hope he’ll get our solution too so that makes the three of us.
Waiting for you Kanishk-boy…🤗
Going through the letter boxes archives finally paid off as I spotted YARMULKE instantly, and went ‘Ha! Sam won’t defeat me today!’ after yesterday’s brutal array. I was 100% determined to make it work but YARMULKE is JUST the kind of word Sam would use in a typical letter boxed puzzle (if memory serves me right, he has used it two times before as well).
For some reason couldn’t see INEPTLY until after almost three hours, but that was because of me trying to pay attention to class at the same time while playing the game.
So INEPTLY – YARMULKE (OA) here after a long struggle – didn’t see UPMARKET unfortunately, RF, or else that would have made three of us. Well done to us three, the triumvirate is complete!
Also, grade 11 has begun officially, so I won’t be able to access the game for an hour after the new puzzle comes out, and properly play it until four hours later. We also have LOTS of assignments and homework which is keeping me really busy. Submissions are piling up. So even though I will continue playing this game (it’s my favourite, after all) I might start posting a bit infrequently starting today.
(Just realised how long this message is, lol)
Good luck and Happy Tuesday to everyone!
Kanishk-boy, that’s good: study first, play later hehehe…wishing you well on your studies. You will treasure it later in life. 😊
You know we’ll be here no matter what! Wishing you the best of luck in your studies – I was hoping you’d get part of the summer off, at least! Do what you need to do and we’ll be here whenever you can make it.
We’re cheering for you – and yay, triumphant triumvirate!
As a Jew, I should have gotten Yarmulke… But it looks like I have a unique solution.. TANKINI-IMPURELY. Not sure I’ve ever had a solution the group hasn’t already found. 134/146, 25/26, 24, 36
Yay I found it too, Matt! 🙌
Lankier rumpty
Saw YARMULKE immediately, but somehow missed INEPTLY. Ended up with UPMARKET TINKLY.
Upmarket tinkly…
Champagne, top shelf or anything else;
it all comes out the same.
Same. Thought it would be unique
OA for me. I’m always on the lookout for Yiddish words with Sam. Oy gevalt!
MARKUP-PLANETARY
Oops…missed the I!
Hi Catherine. Because I dread Ks, my first word was Markup. Even though it didn’t work out, I can thank my knowledge of US government for enabling me to see that word. 🍁
Upmarket & Tinkly
Saw Market right away and then stuck the Up in front of it. Tried planetary but that left out the I. So I ended up using Tinkly.
Ineptly yarmulke . Markup penalty led to yarmulke , figured with Sam, it had to be.
Easier than flugelhorn at least.
UPMARKET TINKLY in less than a minute.
Stretching a bit:
MANIPULATE ERKY*
*Disagreeable. “Australian Words and Their Origins.”
MANIPULATER* RYKE**
* Moby-Dick by Herman Melville, 1851
** Old English for kingdom. MW includes it as Scot. For “reach”
Multiplane erky( to borrow erky).
And multiplanar ryke(S)
Ineptly Yarmulke
MULTIPLAY YANKER*
*OED
Multiply yanker(S)
I tried that, but it wouldn’t accept YANKER!
Yep! Ought to though. Simon found it thus(S)
Lol.
Multiplanetary(W) yuk
Tikram(W) multiplanetary(W)
Krupi(W) inanimately
Upmarket Tinkly
Can’t do better than Irim or Mvua on that
Lankier Rumply
Disheveled gamin
Think that’s the first time I’ve found two solutions. Feeling pretty smug.
Really surprised, not just that it wasn’t the OA, but also to find no one here has spotted TANKINI IMPURELY !
Or is it just my brain that’s impure?
Oops, and as I sent that I saw Matt’s comment
