    1. MORPHOLOGIC – CORYZA here, after toying around with options like ZYGOMA, RHIZOMIC, AMPHIPHILIC, GHARIAL, MYCOPHILIA etc. Went for CORYZA because I wanted to put one of the words I had recently learnt to good use.

Well done, RF, and hoping to see you join us shortly, Irim!

      1. HAMZA-ARGYROPHILIC in about 5 – this desi’s cells loving her bling, though I’m more of a silver girl (argyrophilic refers to cells/tissues that have an affinity for silver)…didn’t try anything else! Well, I tried CAZIMI off of ARGYROPHILIC – an astrological term – but it didn’t work, so I went for HAMZA.

Hurrah to the triumphant triumvirate, lots of love.

Good luck to all and happy Sunday!

      1. My answer as well. Took a long time though. Rebounding after yesterday’s failure – despite having Upshift, Take, and Away all on my word list. 111/123, 2/3, 1, 36

  1. On top of the other great solutions above:

    MORPHOLOGICAL LAZY
    PHARMACOLOGIC COZY

tis one of those days where you feel like saying thank you Sam – for not making a singular solution day made up of obscure yiddish words and allowing us to be creative in crafting solutions

    1. A non-snarky question: Has he included many Yiddish words since all the complaints a year or so ago? I haven’t noticed any, but I don’t play every day.

      1. Catherine Gardiner

One or two months ago, the word, Klutz was one of the OA words. I do believe it is of Yiddish origin.

      2. I never understood how Yiddish words were any more obscure than some of the other words used, and I grew up in rural Appalachia, never having heard a Yiddish word until I went off to college!

  2. AMPHIGORIC* CRAZILY
    * OED etc
I am surprised AMPHIGORY (nonsensical verse) is not in the LB lexicon, considering how popular the book by Edward Gorey “Amphigorey” was.

    1. Same here.
Spent a while trying to find a G word with an -omorphic suffix to pair with CRAZILY. So close to having LAGOMORPHIC except that G and A are together. Sad that I didn’t think of MORPHOLOGIC as found by others!

  3. Pharmacological lazy very quickly, o time for more this morning. Feels like a good LB day, back later hopefully

  4. I’m going for the record today for most letters.

    MICROMORPHOLOGICAL LAZILY

    A dilettante rock collector

  5. PROGRAM MYCORHIZAL*
*OED as var. “Mycorrhizal (often spelled mycorhizal in older literature) refers to a symbiotic association between fungi and plant roots…”

  6. Got … Pharmacologic – Cozy / Crazy
before finding OA … Zip – Pharmacology.

    Never saw Pharmacological – Lazy.
