          1. Prickles-Sobriety here too. Modified Prickliest after finding Sobriety. Not much of a struggle today.

        1. Toby: “Toby” can refer to a few things, including a male given name (a shortened form of Tobias), a drinking mug shaped like a stout man (a “Toby jug”), and in some contexts, slang for “road” or “highway”

        1. Add me to the list of people who found PRICKLIEST and then just took a flyer on TOBY and was shocked when it was accepted.

      1. Ha! I, too, was surprised toby was a word — oh 2fer! — since I only knew it as my childhood fave dog’s name.

    1. Same. Took a while to find PRICKLES and then even longer to find a way to use the remaining 4 letters. I was so glad to find SOBRIETY I didn’t even notice I could have removed the redundant R from the first word.

  1. I was actually excited to post my answer but the answers weren’t up. Tried again at 8.01 and not up. Returned and hey, I’m too late with my version of staying off the booze. Nice clear puzzle free day ahead…..and it’s sunny in the UK😎

    1. Yes puzzle seems very late to post these days. I had Plecks Sobriety (the former an English dialect word for a plot of land — ever hear it in conversation there?)

    2. Radioactive Flower

      If the answers page is not up yet, you can leave a comment by searching one of the OA words of the day.

        1. Bernie Horowitz

          Was supposed to say “collected quite a few of these things” (Toby mugs). Too bad I can’t just retract the whole thing or edit it. Because it definitely wasn’t a worth a correction.

  2. I’m posting solutions that I haven’t seen mentioned yet, and relying on other dictionaries:

    BRICKLE°—ECOTYPES
    BRICKLE°—ELECTROTYPIST
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    STOCKPILE—EBRIETY°
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    BRICKTOP°—PLESIOTYPE^
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    °OED, ^MW.
    1. Bernie Horowitz
      Maybe if you pickled it, you could save it up for later use? Unfortunately, I just don’t think it works that way.
    1. Also BROCKLE* EPISTLE EYE
      BROCKLES would be good for a two-word answer but Brockle does not seem to have a plural option. It means rubble or debris. In OED.
