I posted, so its ok to go to sleep
FOUNDS – SACRAMENT
Oh, me too! Quite quickly. Yesterday was a nightmare, though. Found so many good words: orangutans, paramour, monstrous. But couldn’t finish.
COMFORTERS – SUNDAE
Same here. An Ice-cream to console.
Sounds like springtime has landed on your part of the world, PG!
Same here – looking forward to leaving my comforters behind and enjoying a sundae!
That was me, too.
Cremator Refounds (under a new name in another State after one of those “corpses-lying-all-over-the-place” scandals).
But the official answer has IRL TI – as with this 2019 headline from The Independent: “Dutch government makes blue furry monster its new Brexit mascot”.
They were, obviously, not prepared to go Dutch over that…
DOCUMENT – TORTFEASOR
FAD – DOCUMENTERS, i.e., creators of TikTok videos.
Today’s birds: SORA, EMU, TERN, CARACARA (again), but not MOTMOT!
A bird bonanza! And a close call with tufted titmouse (re-arrange a few letters, throw in an “I” 🙂 )
Yes indeed! I am beginning to realize how important the letter “i” is to birding!
And to bIrds in general 😆
BTW, the Tufted Titmouse is one of my favourites. Very adorable birds! https://flic.kr/p/FfshHb
(Reply to DW, 2:50 PM) Nice one; and the whole album is really cool in its entirety!
BTW, I suppose you know how to turn a duck into a soul singer -leave it in the oven till its bill withers.
The titmouse IS criminally cute. One of them nested in the hollow mast when I had a boat stored. I couldn’t bear to haul the mast back up and put the boat in the water until those tiny eggs hatched and fledglings left. Although that did involve cursing them occasionally.
What a great story, Judy! And thanks for the nice comment, Sota. Birds give me a lot of happiness.
Same here -& I dig your theme deduction, DW! Rather plain stuff processed along the way: FORM, FORE, FARE, FORT, COUNTER(ACT), COUNTERS(UE), and AFTER(S).
LBF score was a 10 (with 9 letters correctly predicted).
Throwing the heavy artillery at them for tomorrow:
RZU AIX VEN JOQ.
That’s quite the constraining collection of letters! I wonder if the LB word list can handle it.
I’ve given it a blast once or twice -with questionable results. It’s guaranteed a decent return if a couple of the usual, unusual ones show up (if not, I may easily end up in an unmitigated disaster).
But, yes, I believe its solution would clear the LB word list obstacle.
same here! …and must I mention it again?
Birds aren’t real 😁 I love those words, though!
Fad Documenters is a fine find, DW, and so timely! It’s got TIT – Thematic Integrity, Timely.
Hrm, I landed on the slightly less efficient CRAFT – TREMENDOUS, but still more shorter than the official so I’ll take it!
The Tremendous Fact is, Birds Aren’t Real!
FOUNDS – SACRAMENT again. A new religious ceremony.
Although I really wanted to make FACTOTUM work. . .
pretty sad FACTOTUM didn’t work out – it was a pretty cool find
I wanted foment, fermentors, document were my only other finds today before craft tremendous.
MAUNDS (asian unit of weight) SOFTCORE (found first mind in the velvet gutter)
founds – sacrament
COMFORTERS and SUNDAE
Timbers Squarely this for mar20 puzzle.
Makes for a solid theme…
BETIMES??? – SQUARELY
