    1. Same,
      [ BURQA ~ ALMIGHTY(-TILY)

after toiling for about an hour. I had almighty early on and saw burqa as well, but didn’t see them together 🙄😵‍💫

Also was distracted working with… quality, blighty, qualmy,
      mightily, haughty, haughtily

    1. I thought the same but looked it up and it can go either way. (For a second I thought it was only “burka” as well.) I’ll take an OA. New grandson coming today for me. Youngest daughter who isn’t so young is being induced in a while. Have a great Monday, all!

    2. I am used to BURQA and spotted that right away. It took a bit more coffee to see ALMIGHTY.

      ROG: Hearty congratulations!

DHW: This is why I play with the Scrabble word list. The LB list is mystifying.

  1. found ALMIGHTY first, then BURQA came naturally. To be frank, would not have found BURQA if it weren’t for that – loan words in Letter Boxed annoy me as you sometimes it’s hard to tell whether one is Letter Boxed approved or not (e.g. a lot of British slang/ colloquialism/ spelling is unaccepted, but they’d accept the most random Yiddish/ Arabic/ Indian/ Japanese words)

Likewise. Thought it might have -GHT so I tried MIGHT. While typing saw the A for ALMIGHTY. I’m used to BURKA with K in Word Wars. But I tried BURQA from the leftovers anyway. Voila! It was accepted. Happy me! Really thought this is a hard letterboxed. The -GHT is the key!

            Ms.GOLDIE,

Yeah the letters fit. It’s not the right answer tho.

            CLUE: it’s not tangible. it’s a feeling.

            Nice try! 😊🤗

    1. Okay, my lsst guess will be:
      SENTIMENTAL
      VALUE

I think SENTIMENTAL sounds better than
      PSYCHOLOGIC or
      METAPHYSICS

      Blessings! 😎🐝

PS – I wanted to tack my reply to your latest text box, but there was no “Reply” option next to that text box.

  2. Wow did i get off track today. All i had to show for it was QUIB BURGHAL LIMITABILITY (and this last one unacceptable to LB though definitely a word) Had mighty early but gave up on to soon it would seem. Mazel Tov to rog

  3. Didn’t know BURQA was spelled like that. I tried BURQUA. Didn’t find ALMIGHTY but I found MIGHTY. I can’t imagine there are any other solutions. I couldn’t even find a 3. My solution was QUALM MIGHT TAB BURY.

    1. I did notice that we can string together:
      QUALITYHAMBURG
(alas, no E with which to make a hamburger)!
      And also:
      HAMBURGQUALITY.

I didn’t realize how big Hamburg is – almost 2 million people in that quaint German town!

  4. So few Q words and not many long non-Q words. Stumbled around with this one for a bit before seeing Burqa. Immediately saw Almighty after that. Will take the win.

  5. OA.
For those wondering about the spelling, btw, ‘burqa’ is the accepted Oxford spelling, as ‘Q’ and ‘K’ represent different sounds in transliterated Arabic; ‘K’ is used for the same sound we use it for in English (a voiceless velar stop), but ‘Q’ represents a sound made at the back of the throat (a voiceless uvular plosive). The two sound similar to English speakers, but are in fact distinct.

  6. Got the OA today. Not impressed.

So happy to have found this page! Here’s my catch-up:

    3/10: sergeantship – pack
3/11: didn’t get to it, too busy
    3/12: avow – whimpering
    3/13: simples – subservient
    3/14: flanks – scratchpad
    3/15: unibrow – walkability
    3/16: jurisdictions -sash
    3/17: regulation – nonbinary
    3/18: burqa – almighty

  7. Same as Piper, I had QUALITY YAH HAMBURG, at first kept trying Yam, and Hamburg Guilty left out the Q, so I gave up on a 2w solution. Forgot about Burqa.

  8. I was Laughably Guilty of getting Tilty on the Gimbal of Ambiguity, and thinking of stopping for a Quality Hamburg when I found the OA.

  9. Here is the full list including Scrabble words:

** Don’t look at the list if you haven’t finished solving the puzzle **

(The first number is a count and the second number is the number of letters used)

    1 – 13 burqa / almighty
    2 – 15 burqa / almightily

  10. Bernie Horowitz

OA in short order, once I got my head around a no-U Q! I figured – correctly for once- that it was a one-off. As for TI, see Iran’s Morality Police.

  11. Struck out on this one. I’m not familiar with that spelling of BURQA so I wouldn’t have gotten it even if I spent twice as long. Oh well
