It’s interesting that you put “proBATHic” cause a quick google turned up The Probatic Pool as being an alternate name to The Pool of Bethesda from Jerusalem in new testament. So, a proper noun. How is this then an acceptable word?
I got the same as you using exactly the same rationale vis a vis probiotic. Probatic apparently is breaking probation by assault or holding a weapon 🤷🏼♀️

This is what I got as well. I came across it so quickly, I didn’t really have all 12 letters in mind at once. Was noodling around, tried for PROBITY, and of course only got so far. Was surprised that PROBATIC was a word—let alone accepted by LB.

I tried to make placebo work knowing the penchant of the creators of puzzle to use words ending in odd letters.
Another WHITECAP – PARABOLA. But some interesting words along the way: APOPLECTIC, THORACIC, CLOTHIER, WHITEBAIT. Only bird right off is Bobwhite, but I’m sure a longer list will appear.
