Tried to make quintals work for a while.

Ok, so I’ll open with admitting to using a dictionary to find ALFAQUIS. The more interesting thing is that while MONTARIA was accepted, it does not seem to be a word in any dictionary (outside of a place in Portugal, which is a proper noun).
BTW I found ‘MONTARIA’ purely by noodling with the keyboard.
It’a a rudderless boat used on the Amazon:

From the Portuguese, meaning a ‘mount’, as in something you ride, like a horse.

I dusted myself down and got back up to 13½ at LBF, and am really glad (others’ too, but) DW’s wrinkle, in particular, seems to be flowing so nicely; not ‘for the birds’ in the least!
