I remember reading the book MOVIOLA. It was anything but ABRUPT. 🙂
Abrupt Telemovie…
The End.
Good one!
Yeah.
PALAMBRA – AUTOMOTIVE. Hard one today, took me 41 minutes. I also tried connecting PLUMBITE, VIOLET, UTOPIA, VITRIOL, TEMPORAL, OVULAR, and METROPOLE, among others. Love the OA, OVIRAPTOR is an amazing word!
Irim and RF, eagerly waiting for your solutions! Happy Monday to everyone!

PALABRA*
Hi, Kanishk-boy. I am not so patient today. Gave up after just one hour. Upon seeing the answers here, I ‘m so pissed because I just can’t pair AUTOMOTIVE (first word found), ABRUPT, EMOTIVE…
6/9.
59/68.
Oh RF, I’m so sorry. Best of luck tomorrow! 😊
Was in the same boat… Er car, with you today, K. Had Automotive very early. Took quite awhile to find his buddy though. Eventually saw Labrum, which then led to Palabrum (which would’ve paired with Motive) which I thought was the plural of Palabra, but apparently is not an actual word. But Palabra did get me home. Was pretty shocked it wasn’t the OA. 65/68, 8/9, 3, 36
Well done, hon! This took me 75 minutes, and it was LABIOVELAR-RUMPOT, digging deep into memories of conversations with linguist friends. The TER was fiendish, of course, with OB and VAT not being far behind: yes, we had ULTRA, IBLE, ABLE, IVE, but you couldn’t form words like ULTRAVIOLET, OBVIATE, ERUPT, etc., which meant a lot of really good roots weren’t possible. I really missed being able to do MULTIVARIATE!
Love your solution, and high five!
Good job both Miss Irim & Kanishk-boy. 👍👏
*hugs*, hon – thank you! And better luck tomorrow. I’m so sorry xx
Good job, Irim, LABIOVELAR is a word I have never heard before. Thank you for the new word! I had exactly the same experience – TER was devilish, and I was unable to form many words with -ABLE and -IVE despite them being the first two prefixes I saw.
Palabra automotive
Same. Figured Automotive had to be viable.
OA today
Same- OA – but not an easy one for sure!
Parametrium Moveable
Nice. Something a woman might hear from her GYN.
Man- didn’t think about moveable…would have helped me- stuck on movable.
Betrump(OED) parvoviral
Triumvir ropable
Got stuck on MULTIVOLUME. But finally saw RUPTURABLE EMOTIVE. Brain not functioning today due to time change.
I did try VOTEABLE* EMPORIUM too.
*American Heritage Dictionary
Biovolume kept my attention for a bit, as did Emporium.
Marble-top(hyphenated)pluvial heard it so many times I didn’t realize it was hyphenated
Oviraptor rumble they weren’t all that big but you didn’t want to get into it with a pack
Couldn’t hook up AUTOMOTIVE, EMOTIVE, MULTIPOLAR, etc. Got the OA on a wild guess after seeing RAPTOR.
RUPTURABLE-EMOTIVE
Same here
PIVOT TRUMPABLE*
