        1. me five?
          QUACKLING-GROPING
          first and then
          POLKA – ACQUIRING

I looked at PARKING first, and then later AQUARIA but couldn’t get a match for either.

        2. Me too. I was sure that QUACKING had to be the starting word but after exhausting all options, I added in the L, first to try QUARKLING (a small quark??) and when that failed, I guessed at QUACKLING and that worked. From there, GROPING was easy.

        1. that’s cute – i like it!
There’s a radio station in Titusville FL that plays polka music for three hours on Sunday afternoons. And Arabic music also after that, I think.

  1. POLKA—ACQUIRING

    QUACK—KLONG—GRIP
    14/3
new word “klong”, a canal in Thailand.

    QUA—ACK—KLONG—GRIP
    15/4

    Some anagrams:
    KINGPIN : PINKING
    INKLING : LINKING
    CORKING : ROCKING
    INGRAIN : RAINING
    AIRLING : RAILING
    GORING : GRINGO
    CARKING : CRAKING* : RACKING

    Good LB day.

  2. OA in about 20 minutes today after finding some bigger words I thought could get there.

    Anyone with answers containing…

    Unpacking, inquiring, uncloaking,
    Piquing, crackling, porkling
    ?

    1. Got a very late start today on today’s puzzle. Same process as so many others reporting here -started with Quackling Groping, which had no charm and quite obviously could not have been the OA, and then saw the OA, a neat answer Weird Al would appreciate.

  3. No luck today after failing with
QUIRK/ING, QUARK, PARK, QUACKING, QUAIL/ING, UN/PACK/ING, OINKING, AQUARIA, PLOCKING, PLUCKING, and RINGLOCK.

Ended up with QUACKING GULP PORN which inspires a less than lovely image.

  4. I had INQUIRING as my first word and didn’t see ACQUIRING but also may have not seen POLKA. I had the weird QUACKLING GROPING. Also LB accepted QUARL?

  5. I don’t know why I didn’t see ACQUIRING, but I gave up and went with –

LIQUOR-RACKING-GAP (the space in between liquor bottles)

  6. Here is the full list. There are no Scrabble words today.

** Don’t look at the list if you haven’t finished solving the puzzle **

(The first number is a count and the second number is the number of letters used)

    1 – 14 polka / acquiring
    2 – 16 quackling / groping

  7. I spent hours unsuccessfully trying to find SAMURAI yesterday. Found OA instantly today. Such is Letter Boxed. 🤷‍♂️
