Me too. I was sure that QUACKING had to be the starting word but after exhausting all options, I added in the L, first to try QUARKLING (a small quark??) and when that failed, I guessed at QUACKLING and that worked. From there, GROPING was easy.
QUARKLING as defined by JTV should absolutely be a word 💫

No luck today after failing with

I don’t know why I didn’t see ACQUIRING, but I gave up and went with –
