JAYWALKERROUGH
OA. Had Jaywalker but you would not believe how long it took me to see Rough!
OA.
Mercifully quick.
OA
Once I found ROUGH then JAYWALKER was immediately apparent. But it took a little bit to find it.
I had jowly and joker and juror and then paused on J’s.
Then I had roughy, which is how I got to rough.
Then a second cup of coffee and I came back to the J’s, since it all but had to start with J.
Same– just needed a sip of the second cup of coffee for jaywalker to appear!
I did not get to this one until quite late then had jaw walker roughy and clicked the enter button too quickly missed Jaywalker by a second !
Knowing Sam’s liking for Mexican foods I know nothing about, my heart sank when I saw J. When I Saw a word that took care of J, problematic Y and not particularly friendly W and K, things started looking up…
OA – might be the only A today…
Oa
Another OA here-a breeze compared to yesterday
So annoying! I accidentally went to this page rather than the actual puzzle page, so I saw the OA. Looked like it might be a single solution puzzle so didn’t spend that long trying to find an alternative 2. Settled with a 3: KEYWORKER RAJAH HUGELY.
Hate it when I do that! I got the OA. I literally jaywalked this one – never solved so fast, even though the J, K, H and W didn’t bode well on first glance. What to do now?!
I do it once a week or so. And always, when I do it, the answer looks to have been very achievable. Not some wackadoodle stinker.
Nearly instantaneous OA. I imagine the only other solutions are riffs on it (ROUGHER, ROUGHAGE, ROUGHY).

Rhea! And didn’t we have Emu a day or three ago? Need to be looking for Ostrich now, I spose. Or how about Moa? What’s your position on extinct birds?
OA drunk pedestrian perhaps?
🙂 Of the rough kind!
OA as well.

Ok, I’m done, back to sleep.
😴
Mark, JUGULAR yes, JAGUAR no – hope you got some sleep 🙂
Nice to see you back in swing though!!!
OA and can’t see much else today :-0
Hi Susan, you’re right, of course. By “- Jaguar”, I was trying to say “minus the Jaguar”. In other words, I screwed up with the U-A placement.
You have great LB eyes! 🙂 ☕
That’s all she wrote for today’s 2 word solutions…
OA. Took a couple intermissions before Jaywalker popped up, then it was done immediately. I felt it would be the OA and was curious what alternatives y’all would come up with. Looks like today’s one of those LB straitjackets. (Note to self: another good word for future J arrays.)
OA after fiddling around with joker for a bit too long.
I got these 3 word solutions:
jaw / walker / roughy
jaywalk / kero / ough
joker / roughy / yawl
worker / rajah / hugely
keyworker / rajah / hugely
jowly / yoker / roughage
Struggled today. I was just about to give up and come here for the solution. I got on last attempt. Here is to perseverance !!
OA
me too, quickly today.
OA, after fiddling with JOULE and looking for add-ons to JAW/JAR. Stumbled on ROUGH in the leftovers to LAWYER, which seemed promising, but finding JOKER is what eventually led me to JAYWALKER.
official. right away…
OA
Same
I had joker and regulatory (and a few others) before I happened on Jaywalker, then stared at the letters for rough for about a minute before they came together for me. Still, this one was so much better than yesterday’s (which felt like I was supposed to find Eastern European words).
