GLUTE – EXEMPLARIC. With nothing to lose I just tried to put -IC to EXEMPLAR and was surprised it was accepted. Took me 5 minutes to put -IC to EXEMPLAR.
Checking on my besties Miss Irim and Kanishk-boy later.
Well done, RF! I present to you my highly efficient solution: EXEMPLA – AGRICULTURAL. So we got half the same answer.
Found lots of good words which I was unable to make work – MEGAPIXEL, EXPLICIT, MARGARITE, TRIPLEX, etc. Happy to see another one of the less restricitve arrays.
I’m worried now – Irim doesn’t usually post until this late, even on weekends. Hoping to see her solution soon. Good luck to everyone else and happy Sunday!
Miss Irim will be here Kanishk-boy. Don’t worry.
Nice solution btw…👍
Between church, an appointment, and essays I need to finish, had a brief attempt this morning, but just got back to it. I was fixated on MEGAPIXEL, and so frustrated that RECTUM and LECTURE didn’t work.
Came back to it, saw CURTILAGE (in law, land immediately surrounding a house) and saw EXEMPT to finish it off.
So, CURTILAGE-EXEMPT, my loves, and the triumvirate is complete. Thank you, RF, for keeping the faith.
RIGHT, back to finish off those essays before heading off on a conference tomorrow (but with laptop and phone, so should be here, if late)
Good luck, all, and happy Sunday.
MURAGE / EXPLICIT
Pretty fast…
Murage Explicit

Me 3
Plectrum
Megapixel
Fantastic answer!!
Someone solved it with MEGAPIXEL, YAY!
Same, but must admit I saw PLECTRUM first on a word-check site, then tried MEGAPIXEL, not even knowing if it was a word.
Fail here. 105/116, 22/26, 0, 36
CURTILAGE EXEMPT
Crimpage Exult
Same here! Very efficient!
Pilgrimage Execute…

Love the TI! I’m a huge fan of your puns, MVUA. Keep up the good work 😉

ZENITH—HYPOCRISY
ZENITH – HYPOCRISY
Good job, RF! 🎉 Well done!
Well done, Mark! You got the OA!! Congrats! 🙌 🥳
ZENITH – HYPOCRISY
I was pleased when the puzzle accepted MUCILAGE – EXPARTE, but then I checked: none of the Scrabble word lists, nor the OED, nor apparently any of the authoritative dictionaries, legal or otherwise, consider the latter to be one word. I remain mystified by the LB list. I think Sam should publish it somewhere.
Same. Ex parte is definitely not one word, but I’ll take the win anyway.
Yeah, Merriam-Webster doesn’t list EXPARTE as one word, either — that was good enough for me. Strangely, though, when I found PLUMAGE I couldn’t work out EXECUTRIX, so I figured I could insert the letter R in PILGRIMAGE and end with EXECUTE, which I was sure would end up being the OA. Nope.
Still, this month 11 of my 14 solutions (or 79%) have turned out to be the OA. Last month over half — 8 of 15 — were not, so this month has been quite a contrast.
Crimpage -exult
Pilgrimage – execute
Plumage -executrix
Many options today!
MULTIPARTITE – EXEGETIC
…or how to interpret democracy?
CRIMPAGE—EXULT
MURAGE—EXPLICIT
PILGRIMAGE—EXECUTE
MEGAPLUME—EXECUTRIX

Good LB day!
CARTILAGE EXEMPLUM
TUTALEGE EXEMPLARIC
Exempla agriculture. One of those quick pre church finds . Hopefully back in several hours. Happy Lords Day!
ELECTRUM – MEGAPIXEL
MUCILAGE – EXPARTE
OA – secretly gluing the pages of my sister’s diary together.
I haven’t used mucilage (a type of glue) for at least 50 years. Was surprised that exparte was accepted. It’s weird how LB allows words from other languages, but some common English words aren’t OK.
Good one. I thought of those two words myself but misspelled mucilage. 🙂
I got the same solution. Started with mixup, then exparte, then worked backwards to mucilage. More efficient than the OA today! Yay, us!
MURAGE EXPLICIT
Same. Never even heard of murage
Plumage & Executrix
Thanks to my mom who told me when I was still in elementary school that a female executor is an Executrix. And I have never forgotten!
