    1. UPSIZE – ENJAMBMENT
But it took longer. Tried JAMB but couldn’t take it anywhere architecturally. Only when I tried UPSIZE did ENJAMBMENT show its poetic face.

  1. Radioactive Flower

Battling at it for 2 hours just like yesterday before finally giving up. Got UPSIZE. Got JAMB, but it didn’t occur to me to stretch it to ENJAMBMENT even though I spotted the -MENT suffix at first look at the array of letters. In hindsight, I wish I could.

    1. Me too.same yesterday, glad I quit early today, would never have gotten enjambment.used up my luck months ago on jankiest I think

    2. Same here mostly, but glad I didn’t put as much time into it. When the only answers contain words that you’d never run across in a lifetime, there’s not much chance of hitting on them except by dumb luck or using outside resources.

    3. That’s the way it is with Letter Boxed. Yesterday I spotted LAZY without much difficulty but LAZYBONES? Nope. Today I spotted ENJAMBMENT quickly — so glad I took that intro poetry course in college — but couldn’t see what to do with the remaining letters. Then I thought: UPSIZE … that’s not a real word, is it? (I remember Morgan Spurlock’s unnerving documentary bout McDonald’s: “Supersize Me”.) But it was. Yesterday’s strike out is today’s game-winning homer.

      1. Samuel and RFH, y’all hit the nail on the head. Don’t think there will be a lot of doves today , so I’ll stir the pot a little. The games is more fun when you rely only on your own knowledge and skills. I like the hunt, and the harder the better and sometimes there’s just not enough time

        1. Not doves solves. Don’t always succeed but always enjoy. Not a bit disappointed when fail and others succeed.

          1. In the end it’s a self competition, and then this site for me is after hunt comradeship , learning , knowledge sharing with like -minded

  2. UPSIZE — ENJAMBEMENTS

Found ENJAMBEMENT and ENJAMBEMENTS, but couldn’t connect the T or S. Worked backwards on the E and UPSIZE stood out.

Fooled around with BENZENE, AZINES, SIMAZINE, JAPANS, STUNTMAN, STUNTMEN

  3. Did well enough to get upsize enjamb ( but since it would not accept the latter never even tried to take it farther) not something I even knew as a word

  4. Foiled again! I got UPSIZE/S and JAMB but don’t know if I would’ve ever thought of Enjambment. Oddly, Numbest wasn’t okayed though Numb was. And Sunup/s was too, also Sez. I didn’t get any 3w’s, just a bunch of 4w and 5w answers. My shortest was ZIPS SUNBEAM MAT TAJ. Oh well…

  5. IT WAS LIKE SEEIN’ MY NAME UP IN LIGHTS!!!!

Didn’t get why LB doesn’t take a fairly commonly word for a $100 bill or its plural.

But then was kinda glad it didn’t when I saw the letters it left were PUTZ.

LB, are you tryna tell me som’m???

    1. Lol. I actually tried BENJAMIN.

      I found PINTUBEANS, too (I know it’s not a word…)

Gave up after two 30 minute attempts. Kudos to those who got the OA.

  6. OA after playing around with words like AMAZEMENT and SUBPENA* (MW) and PAJAMA etc. I have no idea how but just as I was about to quit, and turn off my phone, the word Enjambment popped into my head. Lol

  7. ENJAMBMENT
Really? My education must have been sadly deficient in that I had never heard that word. Only way I would have found it would be if I had used UPSIZE and then put E and the remaining puzzle letters into a Merriam word search for “All Words Containing… “

  8. I found today’s letter combination very challenging. No solve after two 30 min tries.
Not sure if others do this, but I just start trying words, even if they are nonsense or knowingly misspelled.
Today I found PINTUBEANS AND JAZPIANU – phonetically they work right? Lol
