    1. Same, OA in less than 30.
Also worked with… lungfish which I bet someone pairs. Aside from that didn’t see much else but girlish.

        1. Right?!! I had WRUNG and GOLDRUSH and FLUSH and LONGHORNS! Settled for WILFUL+LONGHORNS+SHOD (in 3) 🥴 which is what one needs for a gold rush

        Hey, Mr.RAMANATHAN,

You got the OA! Brilliant! 👍🤓

            Hey, Mr.DAREDAVEL,

YAY!!! You found a unique solution. And very efficient too. Good job! 👍🤓

  1. Came close. Thought goldfish was part of it, but didn’t see wrung.
Settled for a 3-worder in wrong goldfish hug.

  2. Had to cut bait on this one.
    WRONGFUL – LUNGFISH – HOLD
No way to store a catch.
Or jail cell for marine offenders.

  3. Went through many of the same machinations as others (LONGHORNS, DOGFISH, WRONGFUL) until I found GOLDFISH and the OA. Methinks this might be a solo answer today – Mark, what say you?

    1. Hi Susan, I think you’re right, it’s definitely an SSS (suspected singular solution).

It turns out that UNWRUNG is a PSW, but LB disapproves of it.

  4. Played around with Whirligig for a while, then WRONGFUL LORDS SIGH but finally saw a glint of gold and got the OA.

    1. Bernie Horowitz

Whirligig indeed! A very fun word but a dead end. Got the OA ultimately. Another one-off, I’m confident.

      1. Got hung up on WHIRLIGIG as well, and many ~FUL words. Tried GODFUL (not a word 😝), which made me spot GOLD, then remembered all the ~FISH words I tried too. OA was a short hop away after that.

  5. OA for me. Not many long words in this one, so knew it would be a compound. Didn’t take too long to finally stumble upon the correct combo.

  6. Here is the full list including Scrabble words:

** Don’t look at the list if you haven’t finished solving the puzzle **

(The first number is a count and the second number is the number of letters used)

    1 – 13 wrung / goldfish

    2 – 15 unwrung* / goldfish

  7. Well, I spent way too much time on this thing and ended up in an entirely different bowl than the OA.
I saw the sequence FLUSHWRONG and I wanted to get FLUSHWRONGSOLID (1/15) but the left side was against it.
    FLUSHWRONGID (1/12) or
I’DFLUSHWRONG (1/12.5?) would’ve been even better, but they had the same problem.

The closest I could get was
SOILOFLUSHWRONG with the D still out there floating by itself.
