  1. There’s something equally dissatisfying about getting it too quickly as not getting it all. It all has to do with time I suppose.

  2. OA after getting all riled up about how limiting the puzzles seem lately. I’m losing my affinity for this game a bit. When I see Z’s, K’s, J,’s etc. I think to myself that it comes down to finding one or two esoteric words and less about creativity and wit. Didn’t take me long, but again, not really satisfying.

Sorry about the rant – it’s a beautiful day where I am, and I’m still feeling so grateful to have been able to observe a total eclipse yesterday. Maybe like Mark I should take some time off and come back with a better attitude 🙂

    1. OA for me today too, and I couldn’t agree more, Susan. It seems like Ezersky has been relishing in really limiting arrays with a singular solution, and it makes the game less fun.

Letterboxed is my favorite daily puzzle because it IS challenging, but the “you either know it or you don’t” days have been ruining the experience for me too. Frankly, I wish the game had an editor that shares the overwhelming majority consensus on this forum that the arrays that have a few more solutions are also more fun.

    Site keeps eating my post….
OA, and a relief after days of struggle. I suspect it’s a one off, variations on Graph aside. Now I’m inspired to listen to Ballroom Blitz.

  4. OA again today. When we have wacky letters there’s usually only one 2 word solution. So it becomes sort of an all or nothing: if you are familiar with the odd word you can get it easily. If you aren’t, then it would be almost impossible. I knew both Ichthyosaur yesterday and blitzkrieg today (though I admittedly had to look up their spelling since I don’t use them everyday). But I have been stumped before by 2W solutions with words I’ve simply never seen or heard of, so I empathize with folks who had a hard time these past couple of days. Hopefully we’ll get back to puzzles with multiple (common) solutions soon!

    1. I got a few 3W ones for yesterday, but after 40 minutes, I think this really is the only solution. Unless maybe with some obscure science-related words.

  5. Got lured in by Graphitize. Finally had to build around it.
    BLAG – GRAPHITIZE – EKE
    “The Pencil Seller”

  6. Here is the full list including Scrabble words:

** Don’t look at the list if you haven’t finished solving the puzzle **

(The first number is a count and the second number is the number of letters used)

    1 – 15 blitzkrieg / graph
    2 – 18 blitzkrieg / graphite
    3 – 20 blitzkrieg / graphitize

    4 – 16 prehab* / blitzkrieg
